My TF animation for college film class

Hey gang,

As an assignment for one of my college film classes, I was to make a film with at least 2 minutes of animation with my team. Naturally, we decided to make a video using our favourite robots in disguise!

I'm pleased to say that it is now complete, and ready for your viewing pleasure.

"Transformers: All Fall Down" is the story of an obsessed TF fan who believes that his Classics figures are more than meets the eye.

If you want to check it out, just click here!

(the sound levels are off in places, the dialogue is much quieter than the music/sound/narration. Adjust your volume if you have to, sorry for the trouble!)

He needs more than 6 figures... :P (we kept the character count down to facilitate animation/help things not get out of hand) I'm guessing the rest of his stuff is MISB in the garage!

I modded my 'Full Diaper Soundwave' by swapping his legs and waist with those from a spare Classics Ramjet. He looks a lot better than before! (saggy crotch was SO wrong...)

Very nice! So tempted to use stop motion Transformers for my media studies project now...

I think there should have been some quiet instrumental music during the parts with speech/narration, & as you've pointed out its a little quiet in places, but other than that it's really good! I loved the camera work.

Awsome, just plain awsome 8) .

But...everyone died!

And it also reminded me just how much I love the movie soundtrack. It's one of the reasons why the movie is so rewatchable again and again.

That was so cool! That must have taken some hard work. I love how you had the actual voices instead of doing them youself. (Not that doing them yourself is BAD. I've seen some pretty good ones.) Poor Starscream. I hope he is alright! And the others of course.

I absolutely loved the animation you had with Mirage grabbing his gun. The rest of it too, of course, but that part was particularly effective. Very very good work!

@SniperShade: She's not really like that. She finds my Transformers fandom more funny than offencive. :P And no, she's not my girlfriend.

@Izanami: Classics Mirage is God. Why can't they make more figures this epic?? He's so poseable, that I feel like writing him into an upcoming Bad Mother Truckers film just to animate him again! My favourite part was when he was strafing during the camera pan, and then leans out from behind the receiver after.

@Susinko: I think that using the real voices gives a certain touch of authenticity. That's why in Bad Mother Truckers I didn't impressions of Prime or Picard but rather gave them their own voices and made allusions to the original characters.
And as for Starscream: the last shot of the animation was supposed to be Starscream's eyes lighting up, but we changed it to Mirage since that allowed my character to be trying to repair the ball-joint leg at th end (fun fact: I accidentally popped the leg back on during filming, you'll hear a 'click' and then I hastily pull the leg back off! :P )

@Duke of Luns: The original movie soundtrack is nothing short of awesome. I'm just happy that the songs I wanted to use fit up well (like The Death of Optimus Prime changed at just the right time, in time for the 'KAAAAHN!' -- er, I mean the 'NOOOO!'
As for the general dark mood of the film: I knew that most of the other animations students in my class would make would be a cheerful novelty (clay men dancing, etc), so I felt that I'd aim for something different. Sure, everyone got owned, but that final shot of Mirage (and the credits, to a certain extent :P ) give hope for the future!

@everyone: Thanks for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed my project! :PEACE:
