War Within Animated... Right Around the Corner now

Been mentioning this project now and then in the art forums, but figured it was time to pull it out and advertise it in the main forum. (if mods want to put it back there, that's cool, but I think there are a lot of people who might be interested in it).

What I have been working on for some time is a project to turn the War Within comic book from Dreamwave into an animated cartoon. Demo versions of certain scenes have been posted over the last few months on youtube (check under user name "Pepsimus" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=245pqdEPWP0 is one example) and quite a few voice actors from tfcog.net have come aboard to lend their voices to everyone's favorite G1 'bots.

One of the voice actors was so excited about the project that he even made his own "teaser commercial" using some of my animation & his own computer models a few days ago: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xYi_ctsGXSM

I'm posting this up here now since the first episode is nearing completion and to add some "hype." Hopefully this will make a few folks out there happy.

When completed ('bout a month to go I'd say), I'll make an announcement on this board and you will be able to download the first episode from tfcog.net just like any of their other fandubs for Beast Wars II, Victory, etc.

NICE!
Looking good, may finally get a chance to read/watch all of WWI, I missed quite a few of the comics.

I love the second trailer there. Seeing the dynamic duo take down those buildings really makes me wish the Titanium line hadn't died off, that would have been sexy.

You guys haven't seen anything yet... just wait until you get to see the fight scenes with the three assassins  Backbite kicks the tar out of poor Bumblebee, but Hound pays him back in his own manner...

Glad to hear positive comments though! :-)

I don't like War Within that much. It's all basicly a fight between Megatron and Optimus, and it's pretty boring.

However, in an animated format with voices will probably change my opinion. I look forward to seeing the finshed product, as I think the animation's quite good.

I hope that it turns your thoughts around, Duke. I enjoyed it quite a bit (obviously) as serving a "peak" into Transformer history as seeing how Optimus Prime came to be the way that he is. Besides, its got Grimlock, cybertronian alt modes, and assassins that blow up real good. What more could 'ya want? :D

Are you the guy who "advertised" it in the Allspark forums? :-?

The first issue was good, I can't fault that. But the issues after, I felt they just kinda trudged around and didn't get much accomplished. The battle of Iacon wasn't focused on that much, and I thought the whole "let's re-form Cybertron into a starship" sub-plot wasn't well executed.

The art's good, and the Cybertronian alt. modes and looks can't be faulted, but I thought a lot of characters were thrown in for little reason other than cameos, and outside of a little bit of Grimlock and Prime/Megatron, not much characterization either.

I will watch the animated version for sure though. It's possible that adding voices and animating the fight scenes will make the series a lot more exciting.

Deadpool--I posted some links at the allspark about 2 or 3 months ago, yeah. Nothing recently though. I tend to hang more around Seibertron & tformers.
