So, what could one do with their amassed Robot Points, anyway?

They were on the packaging for G1 and G2 Transformers as cut-out squares reminiscent of Betty Crocker Points that were redeemable for low-quality cooking supplies in an official catalogue.

I don't believe I ever had a sufficient quantity of them to spend on anything as a child, but what function did they serve? Could one redeem them for new figures with a sufficient quantity, or were they far less useful?

The Powerdashers and Omnibots were RP "exclusives". I think you could also get a watch plus other junk.

In later years you could also use them to get early year figures. It's how I got my Wheeljack, Sunstreaker and Mirage.

They were also the way to obtian the elusive Reflector, all three parts of him. if you were lucky enough to get them & send them away, you got him. Now he goes for $300+ on Ebay for a complete out of box set. Stil trying to find a decent one...........& if you've gotten any of the TFC re-issues, you'll see that on the flaps there are Robot Points. I see it as Nostalgia, but you never know who they might re-issue.......................

You can put them in milk and see if they stay crunchy.
Actually, I don't know. It'd be nice if they would offer
exclusives with them again.
My parents would never write the check so I never got the reflector. I do still have the order form. I should try to send it in and see what they send me.

What did they offer during G2? The robot points were present on G2 packages as well.

I've got 83 of the little suckers taunting me. I could have had all the Omni-bots. I'm not sure about Reflector.
