who do you think is the worst gestalt ever designed?
this can be any combiner from any series.
also, specify why you think he's the worst - either bad characterization, bad animation design, crappy toy, mismatched members, etc...

Has to be Road Ceaser really. Just look at the thing. It's hiddeous. Real shame given that the Brainmasters are actually pretty nice individual toys.
Second place (if you count this one as a gestalt at all) I'd go with the Prime/Omega combo from Energon. Looks ridiculous and there really just wasn't the need for it. In a line that already had combination as it's running theme we could have lived without Prime being able to wear Omega and we could have done without Mega Dinobot(although as with the Brainmasters I do find the individual Energon Dinobots pretty cool).

DEvastator. Sure, he was cool, but he was an idiot beyond all help.
He FAILED.
Or the Headmasters train one.

You better not f*** with Raiden.
It depends on if you mean gestalt or gestalt team and if you mean toy or character.
If you mean gestalt, then I agree that Devastator is the worst in toy and character. He always thought he was bad-a$$ when he was the only gestalt there, but after the others showed up, he was old news. Also, the toy sucks! Five minutes doing something simplistic just to ensure that all the guys are connected and sturdy so that it doesn't just collapse on its own.
If it is the guys in the team, then I say Arielbots. The leader is a coward and the only other noticed bot on the team is a f***in' smart-a$$. Then the other three are just there standing/flying next to them with no considerable personalities at all.

Yeah, the aerialbots stank on the cartoon and as a toy.
But Superion was cool.
I am fond of the new Aerialbot team from Energon though,

I'm going to go with Computron, he might have been big strong and all that, but he also took too long to think about his actions that it was pointless.

Granted Computron does stop to compute, but it wasn't pointless. His intelligence and time spent planning is what gave him victory over Abominus at the end of every match. Without his intelligence, he would be at the bottom.

I remember a few times Computron went to analyze a situation and ended up getting shot. I mean, the Dinobots were incredibly stupid, but there power lets them take on the likes of Devistator without needing a combined form.

aerialbots suck...I do not like them because they are stupid and grate on my nerves personally...I don't mean to offend anyone who likes them but I just don't like them they were thrown into the series for no reason except to make more toys and because the Decepticons had the Stunticons...
Also I like Bruticus but the Combaticons hated eachother it seemed like... unlike the Constructicons who more like friends
"hey dudes!"
"whazzup Mixmaster!"
"Lets get some Snowcones!"
"yay!"
Then all the constructicons combine into Devistator and go steal lots of Snowcones...awwwwwwwww...The combaticons would be all like "Were you lookin at me funny?" "I wasn't lookin at you're smurfed up face!" then they would all start fighting
I also did not like the Stunticons that much either but I hate the aerialbots the MOST!!!!!!
yeah

ARMADA PERCEPTORSUCKED MAJOR ARSE.........I agree with that, three small minicons Combined................Shinding and cheap way of trying to Attract people to buy it. Mockery of G1 Perceptor, who was a good toy, andvaliant character in the G1 series...

The Combaticons didn't hate each other - they may not have been the closest of buddies, but they got on well enough, except for when they screwed up and Onslaught got on their backs.
You may be thinking of the Stunticons - although they didn't hate each other, either, they just all hated
Motormaster.

on gestalt toys, i've heard pretty bad reviews about the Energon Superion and Bruticus, something about not being able to stand and all.
Devastator had its problems but considering it was the first gestalt TF, its shortcomings could be forgiven.

Then shouldnt Abominus be at the bottom / top of the "Worst" list for getting beaten up by a Nerd?
Constructicon Maximus gets my vote for worst Gestalt toy.
Superion's individual members in G1 were the most irritating in show though.

Besides the awful Energon Prime combos, I say G1 Devastator and Superion. As far as the toys go, junk.
Character wise, I say G1 Defensor. Just the idea is stupid, I don't really have a problem with Defensor per say. Why bother constructing a huge war machine just for the purpose of like, protecting stuff? I just have some fundamental disagrement with the concept of Defensor. Oh well, whatever.

Well, the Decepticons had a big guy designed just for destroying stuff. Seems like a fitting response to have Defensor around to get in the way.

True, Defensor fits in the whole Autobot save everyone mentality, but I still find it weird.

On the other hand - the cool thing about Monstructor was that his touch was caustic. He drained Transformers and fleshings with his deadly touch.

Well, the Devastator figure had the worst legs ever and fell apart easily...
But I'd have to say God Ginrai/Godbomber. It's disproportionate, it's silly looking, the head in indescribably massive, and the combining gimmick compromises Godbomber's entire design.
I also hate the Technobots like little else because their very existence ruined several perfectly good Gestalt KOs.
Road Caesar is awesome BTW. Come on, all the combiner kibble finds a place in all the modes. That was unheard of in the G1 days! Sure the legs are bigger than you'd think physics would allow on an otherwise proportionate figure but at least it has legs unlike Devy.
