Over-Price Transformers Figures

I don't understand why people feel the need to over-price their transformers figures for sale. I realize there are some rare figures that are really hard to find, but to jack them up a ungodly amounts and at such prices where most collectors cannot afford, how do they sell them? Examples I have seen:

1) Black Zarak--$1999 + S & H

2) Black Mechabot-1 (Omega Supreme)--$14999 + S & H

3) Brave Maximus--$1999 + S & H

These are just a few I've seen on Ebay. They are way out of this buyer's pay range!

What are some thoughts out there about this serious OVER-PRCING?

I hate to say it but hey... if someone is willing to pay it then why not?

I'm sure if you wait.... you'll find them somewhat cheap.

Yeah patience is the key basically, if you're patient you can get a better deal... Once you find that deal, you go and take it!

I don't think all of them get sold.

You should see what Diaclones go for these days
It's not fair to poorer collectors like me that love Diaclones

What do you get if you can afford, bought and kept a $1000 diaclone?

half the poepole on ebay are asking for out more money than what they really worth im not syaing that some of these figures are not worth that much but are in or out of the package if there in the package and the box is mint i might undestand that much for the fiures but i ouwl sell them half or less than the starting bid.

the price might or can always go up if the starting bid is low

There was an auction posted here recently consisting of an AFA 90 Sixshot where the seller was asking $900. It sounds a lot for a G1 figure, but potentially feasible - but one of the photos was a closeup of the AFA grading sticker... which pointed out it was a reissue! :))

They were after nearly a grand for a virtually brand new toy!
