Who did you force to watch TRANSFORMERS?

This goes for the movie as well as all series. You got it home. You loved it. Did you compell another to enjoy it along with you, and did it work?

For me, it was the girlfriend. I found the movie at RITE AID on VHS for $8.99. This was about two months before the new DVD was due out and I knew it, but I said "What the hell! I need me some Transformers Movie!"
She very nearly got through two thirds of it. I forget exactly where the experiment ended, but let's just say that she didn't see Unicron transform.

Yeah for me it was my Ex, though i would normally be watching BW when she came over, and she would watch it too, she liked Cheetor the most, she even tried transforming the 10th anni version of him (it didn't work!).

But she did try to get into it, she kept asking me questions about BW, though she never saw the episodes in order, so it was confusing for her.

My buddy Sam. He's one my best friends here in Chicago. We hang out all of the time. But he's not into toys or cartoons though he is into some games and sci-fi. Every now and then when we're hanging out, I'll pop in an episode of Transformers. He couldn't stand anything except Beast Machines, which he actually liked. We ended up watching the entire Beast Machines series one weekend while having a programming marathon. He thinks Beast Wars sucks which is a bummer but it's his loss.

About 11 years ago, I made my girlfriend watch Beast Wars with me when it was airing new on TV. She actually got into Beast Wars. Didn't like G1, but did like Beast Wars.

It's interesting to see what does and doesn't appeal to people. I guess that's what's great about the Transformers. There's a little bit of something for everyone.

I did not force anyone to watch it. I was surprised when I met my wife I found out that she watched TF's and GiJoe toons in the 80's.

I can't get my wife to watch any Transformers episodes, either G1 or BW or BM, but for some reason she'll get a wild hair and decide to watch Transformers the Movie with me. I think it's because she can look at the movie as an anime movie, but the show is just a kiddie toon to her. She also said that she'd be willing to go to the live action movie when it comes out.

I made my boyfriend watch a few episodes of G1 when I got my DVD set and he remembered watching them with his nephew. He's from Bangladesh and it took a few years for the series to hit there. He actually enjoyed seeing it again but he's not into it like I am.

My family doesn't like the fact that I like Transformers (and Star Wars and anything else that counts as fiction), but I apparently turned one of my aunts into a Megs fan.

If I make my wife sit down and watch TF's withme then the only episode she'll watch is "Grimlocks new Brain" She gets a good laugh at that. Although I did show her the teaser for the new movie and she was quite impressed.

I made my best friend watch TFTM & he thought it was pointless & stupid. Howeve, he like many of my other friends love BW. We all grew up w/it, it was the TF's of our generation, plus they love the CGI effect. Hardly anobody likes G1, because they don't get how it ties into BW, or that it really did start it all.

;;) I perverted my girlfriend's three children-even gave them a copy of a video tape to take home. Needless to say, her three year-old can spot 'an' Optimus Prime a mile away anywhere she goes. Her older son salivates everytime we go 50 feet within the toy area and her daughter will sit for hours watching G1. My girlfriend has forbidden me to introduce her children to Beast Wars
My dad, on the other hand . . . I'll play Transformers DVD's just to completely annoy him.

Speaking of which I have a question. It's now 2007 right? Then why aren't we all walking around in jumpsuits wth the first letter of our names on them? :P
