Dinobot clone

I know this is an old question but how did the original dinobot memories get into transmetal clone? Memories aren't exactly found in dna, are they? I heard it said that the old Dinobot spark went into the clone or his mind did. I didn't see any evidence of that except when Rampage got killed. How did the clone learned about honor that isn't found in genetic code?

There was an omitted episode in which Rattrap downloaded the original Dnobot's memories and personality into the clone...

Didn't it become a 3D online comic since it didn't make it into the show production? I know I've see nit somewhere, I can't remember where though...I think the episode was called "Dark Glass" or something like that....and Megs mentioned Nucleon...

That episode wasnt omitted....it was never made....and besides it still wouldnt have any bearing on the issue because that episode was to take the place of episode #47 "Go With the Flow" but Dinobot 2 made his fiest apperance 4 episode earlyer.Still would have been nice to see that one.

I never saw the online one you guys are talking about.Do you guys have a link?

But as far as we know, he doesn't have any memories of his previous life until Rattrap does that. Also makes for interesting foreshadowing for Beast Machines...

Anyway, it wouldn't be unreasonable to think that Transformers have genetic memory. Remember, Maximals and Predacons aren't innately organic, so their 'genetic material' is presumably not chemically based. Given multiple instances of body transfers, etc., I think it's safe to assume that their genetic material is carried in their sparks.

The way I see it, the Spark, however metaphysical it may be, is among other things a super data-storage unit. Everything that the Transformer will be (allegiance, base function, superstructure, gender, personality) is encoded in the spark on its 'birth', the same as some of our qualities are encoded into our DNA. However, a Transformer is a bit more complicated: everything it becomes (alternate mode, experiences, etc.) is encoded into the Spark during life, like a backup storage unit. Hence why, when characters like Optimus Primal are resurrected in another body, they retain their beast mode and memories.

Hypothetically, when Maximals and Predacons procreate (however that happens) the design of the new life is based on the data in the spark(s) of its parent(s). Since data in the spark includes memories, that explains why, when Transformers awaken normally, they know how to communicate, fight, and perform various technical tasks.

So, presumably, the genetic material Megatron used to create Dinobot II, was a copy he had made by scanning/downloading Dinobot's spark while he was still a Predacon. So the clone had Dinobot's beast mode, skills, personality, and memories up to the point Megatron made the scan, less whatever errors or changes were made in the process.

Rattrap apparently did the same at some point, maybe just downloaded Dinobot's memories from his inactive lasercore after death. In the unproduced episode then he would have basically performed a forced update on the clone, downloading all the memories made since Megatron scanned Dinobot.
