That's not just a problem with Beast Wars Transmetals. If you notice it's only the metalic paint that's peeling.

Any toys with metalic paint on them will end up peeling off at a much faster rate than the normal paint.

My TM Dinobot has the same problem,
as well as my BM Jetstorm :(
I love that thing.

Yup. As Saber Prime said, alot of metalic paint apps crack and peel must sooner then any usual paint app. Happened to my Rattrap, Jetstorm and a few other transmetals.

Luckily, most of my TMs are fine.

Only one with such a problem is TM1 Cheetor...

Most of my TransMetals are loose in a plastic tub (along with about 400 other loose figures I haven't got space to display, sadly) and haven't been checked in a while. As I recall though, some of them are chipped a bit, but most are doing okay.

However, the MIB ones are pristine, including the blue Rattrap (I love that guy).

BTW, doesnt this belong in the Toys Forum?

At first I was going to say BM Jetstorm doesn't have any metalic paint then I remembered there are two versions of him.

I never got the Ultra Class Jetstorm and can't recall if it had any metalic paint. I do have the Delux version which I know has no metalic bits. Care to eliberate on whitch one you're talking about?

You can actualy get a foiling kit and try to fix it at any craft store.

Still with all the intracacies of the mold, it's gonna be a tough fix.

Fortunately though, TM RatTrap is one of the most comon figures ever, so you could always score a loose one in better shape off Ebay for dirt cheap!
