We all know Takara and Hasro's TF line, but there's countless other robots out there.

We'll I was wondering, besides TFs, what are some of the other types of bots you guys are into collecting?

I'm looking for both serious and quirky here. Maybe you're into any of these examples, and I'd just like to know why :-?

I hope you enjoy, as I hope to, buy if you don't have anything worthwhile to add, please don't.

While not technically robots. The only other mecha themed items I'm interested in are the Tekkaman Blade model kits.

I have all the ones on General release, but I'd do just about anything to be able to get my hands on Dagger.

Take a look, I'm sure you'll agree they are pretty awesome looking.

TEKKAMAN, God I thought I was the only person who ever heard of that, I use to watch it Sunday mornings as "Techno-Man" I have both seasons on DVD!

I mean even my diehard anime friends raise an eyebrow to me when I mention that show!

Buy any chance do you have a link to where I might score those :-? or maybe a Blue Earth with the launch ramp!!!

You'd be extremely lucky. Check around on auction sites, but there is very little left these days because I bought most of it, lol. I missed my chance to complete my collection by letting a Dagger go for $300 a few years back... never saw him again.

But yes, if it weren't for Teknoman I probably wouldn't be here today. I had gotten over Transformers a long time ago and my interest in cartoons was fading. But Teknoman really changed my life, and is the root cause of my Anime obsession and rekindling my love of Transformers.

It is the most singularly awesome thing in the world to me. :x

Besides my loving darling of course. Please don't hit me.

Ever see the second season?

It never aired in the US but you can get it dubbed (with the same voice actors) for cheap off Ebay.

You actualy got me reintrested so I threw it in the DVD player, and did a quick search on Ebay. The DVDs are plentyful, there's a season 3, with no details?

I know it's not the TekkaManII OVA(which I haven't seen yet) but I wonder if it's just another version of season 2 as it did pretty much come full circle(hope that wasn't a spoiler).

Kinda funny, I saw all this while doing a general search for Blade's unshatered crystal, there has to be one somewhere :-?

Sadly there is no Series 3. I wish there was.

And yes, I've seen absolutely everything related to Tekkaman. I am the ultimate Tekkaman geek. :-B

There is the original 49 episode TV series +3 Special Episodes, and the Tekkaman Blade II OVA. There is also a manga that the original series was based on, and a manga based on the OVA.

Well on the bright side I get to save $50, or most likely spend it on something else!

On an interesting note, while only the first half of the series aired on UPN, in the UK the entire series was shown. Without the horrible US name butchering of turning Blade into Slade. Probably the only time I've been glad to live here.

Ok... I'm done.

Anybody else have anything to show?

I have to admit, the first time I saw Gundam was during the rise of Gundam Wing on Cartoon Network. At that time, all the girls were going nuts over HeeroXDuo yaoi, that put me off the series big time. Though I still think Zechs and Noin are awesome.

But recently I have started watching the new Gundam 00 which seems pretty cool, if not sadly a little flat with loltastic English pronunciations.

But I do love some of the suits, especially Epyon and the Devil Gundam.

Gundam Wing was my first experience with this franchise as well, it got me hook line and sinker!

G-Gundam was bleh...

But Stardust, Zeta, and 8th MS are legend to me!

I look forward to the eventual dubs of X, and V

Hahaha, that guy was a riot. How many times did he die then come back?

Though Scryed was an overall pointless series...

AH, your killing me...

SCRYED was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!

Look deep in the writing there. There was an obvious protagonistic element, but when it came to the majority of the individual character, everyone at some point got to wear both the hats of hero and villian.

In the end it left you wondering who was what, as each character decided to follow there own sense of integrity and whatever that entailed.

PLUS, a great fight just for kicks

SCRYED to me was a seemingly comon show, with subtle great and deep writing that in the end did something that to few shows, novels, and other such things left you doing.

That would be, wondering what exactly happened, and what could possibly come next?

No answers, just pondery that you couldn't avoid. That's good writing

I was just frustrated... that in the end it was just one big testosterone fueled, posturing fest. At the end did either of them have any brain cells left? Did they even remember what they were fighting about? Oh, it makes me want to cry.

Exactly! But still if you look at the overall, it was alot deeper. See in SciFi fiction, an entertaining layered brainteaser is what I like. The overall was settled, but the here and now was left wide open...

It beats them talking about feelings and teamwork, then smiling as a group as the poverbial curtain falls :P

Also, tell me this wasn't a kick ass way to end a series!

(just please keep in mind I have no sound on this computer so I don't nnow if the song lines up right)

But this battle goes from stock repedative crap, to flat out street free for all!

Enjoy...

Bah... Just not to my taste, sorry.

I am an old softy and would much rather have seen Ryuho and Sheris ride off into the sunset for some serious loving.

Though, I can't deny it was a good fight. But COME ON, I need CLOSURE!

Argh.
