Confirmed Dead...or Alive?

I've been You Tube-ing the Japanese Headmaster, and Victory series; and in them Wheeljack and Prowl are still alive. Wheeljack is a major character in Transformers Victory, and Prowl is seen regularly alongside Ultra Magnus in the Japanese version of Headmaster. Slight problem, Prowl was confirmed to be amongst the dead in the Autobot tomb in "Dark Awakening" back in Transformers 2010. Wheeljack was never actually confirmed dead; we just saw him badly damaged in the animated movie. Any explanations as to how Prowl turned "Lazarus", and somehow appears to have come back to life?

Fan Fiction could explain that Prowl was on an undercover mission and his death was faked....but was there ever an official explanation outside of the usual G1 flub of continuity?

I don't remember Wheeljack dieing but Prowl was "confirmed" dead long before when you said. We see him in the movie get faitally shot twards the begining of the movie when Megatron attacked the Autobot shuttel that was heading twards Autobot City on Earth.

How do we know it was faital? Because he was burning from the inside out. We see his eyes glow really intence like fire and then smoke comes out his mouth.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dfnH-F3ir4o

look at 2:19, he's wounded by Starscream who shot him with Megatron in Gun mode (I really hate that mode) and then killed by a Constructicon.

The Transformers Movie didn't air in Japan till 1989 or something, wile it aired in the US in 1986, it took a wile till it came out in Japan.
Thus, the guys writing the Japanese shows did not know of everything that happened in the Movie, just a few things like Galvatron and Ultra Magnus.
But deaths were not known to them.

So in the Japanese continuety they didn't die, but in the original, the US continuity they did.

They knew about Magnus, Galvatron et al because of series 3, which they got and dubbed. I wonder what they thought when Starscream's ghost turned up, not having the movie.

That's what they thought.

Wheeljack was shown dead in the movie, crushed alongside Windcharger.

No explanation is given as to how any G1 characters killed off in the movie are still alive in Headmasters. You can call it any way you see fit:
1: Say they are the characters brought back to life (somehow).
2: Say it's an animation error, something prevalent in the G1 cartoons.
or
3: Say the Japanese did not know they were dead, so threw them in for the sake of it.

Well I dont know what makes you say that Wheeljack was a "major character" in TF Victory. He had very few appearance's and when he did show up it wasnt for very long.

Ether way none of the Transformers that show up in Victory that look like TF's that we know are the same characters that they look like.

The robot that looks like Optimus Prime is not in fact Optimus Prime nor was Wheeljack or Perceptor that also appeared in Victory.

Ether way it would not be the first time that a TF was brought back to life.....both Blaster and Soundwave died and were brought back to life in the Japanese Headmasters show.

And if the U.S. toon had continued with the toy line both Wheeljack and Prowl would have returned as Actionmasters.

Although it is implied that that is where Megatron shoots him... perhaps he continues that scene in his head...

Not delirius....just over imaginative.Unless your telling us that little specs of metal could have only come from his head???

As already said it is implied that Megatron shot him in the head but it is never showen exactly where the blast hit Ironhide. All of that debri [which wasnt that much in the first place] could have come from his back, neck or a arm that was rasied to cover his head....we'll never know for sure which because it was not showen.

Your original claim was that you thought it was funny when his head blowen off so if that is what you saw then maybe you are delirius because :-P

I hate that scene. Unlike most people, I like Prowl, too. And Wheeljack looked pretty darn dead if you ask me.
