Octane, you of all people should know. Geez.

Its his spark and/or lasercore. Whichever continuum you follow. Its that that keeps him going, and his utter disgust for Megatron/Galvatron.

I thought it was because he had a mutant spark...oh well...guess not but the thing about disgust for Megsie and Galvi I can believe it I mean he did really become power hungry and I guess the only way his spark would go away? would be like killing him...well it doesn't make sence in my post but yeah I guess it was that ...I feel stupid :P

He is a living creature, although mechanical. He may contain a spirit or a soul. They call these lasercores or sparks.

Also others believe the soul or a ghost is just an energy signature that remains behind and has no will of its own. it just acts out its life like a tape on loop. This is speculated as to why some ghosts walk through walls. They are simply going on paths they used in life. This could be because the house or building they used and is no longer there and the walls are not in the same location.

Others may believe that ghosts are a being trapped in between the relm of life and death. Some may also believe that ghosts are more like spirits that come from the astral relm or a different dimension.

And finally, others may believe that transformers is fiction and why the hell can't a scheming son of a cessna come back as a ghost to haunt those who murdered him. :P

Screamer's spark is supposedly "indestructable."
So, end of story. :P

That is an interesting point. I have not heard that before. Why would he not be destructable.

Apparently in beastwars it was said his spark was indestructable. I haven't seen the series myself, but they tried to clone him and got something pretty whacky.

Pretty close Sunstar, especially for someone who has never watched BW.

I think that Rampage was created after the Autobots/Maximals tried to imitate Starscream's immortal Spark. As Starscream himself was flying around space it would have been quite the challenge to locate him and clone him. Could be wrong though.

It was stated in Beast Wars that Starscream had a "mutant indestructible" Spark.

Yes...according to the Beast Wars continuum, Rampage was indeed created from Starscream's "mutant indestructible spark" How they captured the spark to clone it in the first place is a mystery though..as for the whole "ghost" deal, if one's soul is indestructible, it lives on even after the vessel is destroyed

Even through I don't believe in spirits, ghost, or souls, he was just defined as a ghost in Earth terms, I would guess the way he was captured was that he had possessed a body in which they captured and studied and then he escaped or the body was destroyed. In BW it was shown he really didn't have much control over were he could go or leave a body once he had taken control. If you think about it is quite funny think about him going through space cursing Megatron/Galvatron.

So, how many times has starscream been disintigrated and come back (not as a ghost)?

I believe 3 times he has haunted Megatron/Galvatron  , he was disintigrated in Armada, but some how in Energon was inside Unicron and came back where he could turn invisible. After his DBZ style fight in Cybertron, he was disintigrated again (send to another dimension as they said) and he talked to Galvatron from his throne. I guess Starscream is just that unkillable, and awesome. 8)

A fantasy is a fantasy, so anything can happen, like mermaids, going back into time, and of course, Transformers ghosts.

And it's such a wonderful ghost story featuring one of the MOST popular Decepticons ever! 8)

BTW, perhaps that's WHY Megatron selected NOT to kill Starscream on several occasions...he was probably aware Starscream has a freak spark and that he COULD take over HIS body if he was ever destroyed. :-?

Whoever wrote the script for Starscream's Ghost probably thought it'd be a gas for Starscream to come back as a ghost.

So does that make Rampage a son or brother of Starscream...? :???:

Rampage was the result of cloning attempts of Starscream's spark....I would assume, with that, they would be closer to brothers than father/son..although neither would really apply....:)

Rampage's spark was not a clone Starscreams spark.Rampage was a Maximal that volunteered to be a test subject for the Maximal elders who wanted to duplicate Starscream's immortal spark.

Its very simular to the "Weapon X program" or the Super Soldier Program".It was not a cloning project.

By what meens the ran this experiment's was never revieled. They may have had Starscreams spark to test on or they may have tried to duplicate his spark by trial and error.Ether way they ended up with a psychotic Transformer who had a resilient but not "immortal" spark. He was called “Protoform X".

So he would not be considered son or brother to Starscream.

That would be interesting: if Starscream's pseudo-immortality was known before his death.

As for the mermaids, I like the episode "Sea Change." Rumble turned into a tree! And Seaspray got a piece of tail. hehe
