A dumb question about Superion?

Is the G1/G2 Superion, or for that matter, Superion maximus, pronounced "super ion", as in an ion that is super, or is it pronounced like "superior", except with a "n" rather than a "r"? :-?

I thought it was the first way, but more recently, it has been seeming that it might be the other way, and i have hardly seen any tf cartoons ever, or even parts of them.

Jhiaxus is easy. It's just "Gee,Ax Us." What I'd like to know is half the ****ing Quintesson names from the UK Comic. I mean, how the hell do you pronounced "Ghyrik?"
