How many people.....

here are actually over the age of, say 25?
I'm not saying the site/forum or TFormers in general should not be enjoyed by people younger, but alot of posters seem to think they can write a coherent, sensible post or design a bot when their efforts are poor at best.
The majority of you guys are probably in the US of A, im not incidentally, and you can stick together on this & say FU or take my suggestion seriously.
A forum for older posters, where more sensible discussions or threads can be made and appreciated? No distorted scanned drawings of crayonbots or repeated threads on who should or shouldnt appear on TF2, with repeated links to images of alt modes.
This is not flaming, trolling or WTF you want to call it. Just a suggestion from an older fan (despite growing up with G1 I do not beleive it should rule all and gets a semi whenever it is mentioned).

Wrong forum or not, your post is pointless as it doesn't contribute anything to the topic.
Prowl_r - I'm over 25, and while the bad spelling, crappy grammar, posts that don't contribute anything and other general pointlessness does get annoying, I find what you're suggesting to be a bit "elitist". And i'm not a big fan of elitism.
Transformers is a global thing spanning the ages. The great thing about an open forum like this is a new younger member may come on board and want to learn about G1. So they go to the folks who grew up with it. We help the new kid, teach 'em, educate them, and guide them.
Start seperating things, well then you've got a waste of bandwidth, and then you might have someone (like myself) who would enjoy both the more sensible discussions (though let's face it, i've seen how immature some of the adults can get around here, hell, i'm one of them!

) as well as having a bit of fun conversation with some of the younger members, but I really don't want to have to keep track of two different threads for the same topic.

I don't care if my first post didn't contrybute to the topic, I felt insulted by him so I gave a bit back.
Ha ving the first or second post being just a complaint about a forum which is there for users to talk about there subjects and post there art and have fun, well that's just plain stupid!
Don't go into the Art Forum if you don't want to see art, don't click on "If he was in TF2..."
Now back to school mode.

I was referring to the efforts posted in this forum, "Have you designed a Transformer?" Insulted, didnt realise I had specifically isolated anyone individually and even made the point of it at the end of my post.
Burn - fully appreciate your comment(s).
Elitist, yeah maybe, I'll give you that one but like you admitted the seemingly pointless threads are annoying and bring no worthwhile contribution to the greater scope the site can offer.
General gripe I guess, now over.

I see this from both sides. I'm earning my doctorate right now, and I crave stimulation that's more than just "Did you see? Do you agree? You suck! So kewl!" It does pop up now and again (good conversations that are subsantial), but its hard to find.
Then again, I teach 14 year olds in the summer, and some of my best conversations have been with them.
I don't think any age cap would work anywhere, because if I was 14, the first thing I'd do is regsiter a shill account saying I'm 54, and then troll the hell out of it.
Epic fail abounds...

Gave a bit back? The fudge? "This is in the wrong forum" is suppose to be giving a bit back?
Sorry, but it's not. It's a pointless post I see too often. If you have nothing to add to a thread then don't fill it pointless un-necessary posts.
And yes, it WAS pointless and un-necessary. If you feel it's in the wrong spot then contact a Mod and let them move it if they feel it needs to be moved.

Well, I'm 19 and I don't have any of those... "
ZOMG!!!11 jAzz shud come bak u n00b!!!!1 hes sooo cewl!" threads hanging around in my signature.
Not everyone under 25 acts like they're 5. Hell, some members OVER 25 do go overboard here. But you can have a good discussion with most of the members here. We're not all children! Give us a chance!
Now, if you would please excuse me as my bottle is ready... I mean!

Well, I'm 14, and I can talk like I just got out of college.
You may think all people under the age of 25 are immature, (although I do beleive you stated otherwise)but the truth is we can be sensible when needed.
Gramted, we have our little moments, but a few members shouldn't make you want a new forum. Half of them leave soon anyway, they can't stick it out.
I've been here since I was 12, so obviously I did something right.
Anyhoo, think as you might, but remember, you were a kid once too. They need time, so I say give it.
Okay, that was WAY off my key there.

I'm 31.
I also have had many conversations here with people who I was suprised to find out where still young. I also suport the raw concept pics the younger fans contribute.
If you don't suport it, they wont develope it. I always liked to draw, but I didn't get talented until I practiced and earned it!
So yeah, sometimes they're annoying, but then again sometimes so's everyone!
Come in piece or leave in pieces, I say!
I suport this site cause after years of lurking around all the others, the members young and old are generaly better than alright people.

Maturity levels oftentimes do not come with numeric labels...I often have indepth and insightful conversations with 11 yr olds and silliness-a-go-go conversations with 42 yr olds...and both types of conversation I enjoy! Why numeric-age-set something when it's a moot point?

I didn't realize you were that young til I saw you post your age in another topic. Age doesn't matter to me, either. What matters is if you're having fun.
Okay, that was WAY off my key there.

At first I though you just quoted me.
Then I saw it.
I like to make a point of my age, just about everywhere.
Anyhoo, your sig made me think of how he said "crayon bots".

I happen to LIKE "crayon-bots", dernit! And I am 37! I think they're awesome, actually!
Does that make me immature?
Gods, I sure hope so!

Despite being in the proposed age group, i refuse to check grammar and spelling for every post.
Now that we have that out of the way. Some of the more interesting topics have the younger crowd involved. There is really no good reason to ostracize them.

I personally think we shouldn't be all "Grrr" to the younger Transformers fans, since Transformers IS for a younger audience. So if anyone nees to back t3h hell off, it's us older bastards. I'm 20, BTW. And age doesn't mean jack. We had a 37 year old here who was the most obnoxious piece of crap you'll ever meet. He argued with everyone, he used to try to force his ridiculous opinions on people, and he was just the biggest prick you'll ever meet. His general attitude was "If you're younger than me, I'm better than you, and you don't know what you're talking about." Case in point, I once insulted him, he sent me a private message talking to down me, chastiting me like I was a child, and telling me to "respect me elders."

I have never met this joker that everyone has been bashing into the magma of planet earth since I got here, yet I can say I know someone JUST LIKE THAT in real life! It's an archetype, really...."The Guy Who Is Never Wrong, Yet Always Is Wrong" type...not a likeable personality archetype!
