A good bit of news for fans of Prowl, Sideswipe and more! Michael Bell who voiced many characters in the G1 Transformers cartoon program will be appearing at Toronto's TransformersCon! This will be Mr. Bell's first ever appearance at a Canadian convention, and he will be taking part in a Q and A session among other things.

For more information on Michael Bell's appearance and information on the convention click here.

-----------------------------

Veteran Transformers Generation 1 Voice Actor Michael Bell has worked in television cartoons, movies, and video games for the past 5 decades.

In 1983, he joined Hasbro's action genre providing the voice of Duke in G.I.Joe. The next year history was made with the debut of Transformers, and Michael was there in the popular roles of Prowl and Sideswipe. He would voice many Generation 1 characters for the series including Swoop, Bombshell, Scrapper, First Aid, and Brainstorm.

At TransformersCon, in his first Canadian convention appearance, he will be taking part in a question and answer panel, participating in a script reading with fans, and an autograph/photograph session.

You've just named some of my face bots of all time!
How old is he? Hope he's not too old to play a role in future tf outings.

Mr Bell turns 69 this year. Was born 10th April 1938.Hope that the info helps you. I hope that he not too old to play a role either. If he can still do Zan (Wondertwin on Superfriends) and sound nearly the same as 30 years ago that's great. Be also great if he could do the voice of Lance in the new Voltron OVA that's coming.

Lucky guy! Wish I could go.

Seriously though, it amazes me how one guy can create so many characters. I have more respect for voice actors than real.

I love Bell (in a non homo-erotic way, I think) but my favourite of his characters has to be badass video game vampiric spectre, Raziel.

Wish I could meet him.

For a second there, I thought that said Michael BAY was going to Transformers Con. I was prepared to say "What a brave, brave man!"

Then I re-read, and was depressed... because I'm not going.

I'll be there. Maybe I'll get him to sign an old figure or something like that. Actually to be honest, I'm not all the interested in meeting the guy. He may be a nice guy and he played some memorable characters, but it doesn't really excite me.

Besides, I'll probably have a booth again this year. I just hope I don't get stuck behind the clutz that knocked over my Japanese PS2 G1 Game display again this year. They also damaged some of my Beastwars II and Beast Wars Neo DVDs. I still can't find my Beast Wars II Movie thanks to her. :-x
