I have some questions about transformers

why do they talk couldnt they just communicate via radio?

Even still if their robots from an alien planet millions of years from the past and god only knows how far away How come they look like normal humans but realy big?

How did bumble bee get the name bumble bee if their are no bumble bees on cybertron?

I know their probably are know answeres but i would still like to know what you all think.

Well I'd say that Radio waves can be jammed , and in a battle if say Frenzy can jam the radios then the Bot's would be blind, or vice versa. Talking can be much quicker and simpler. Maybe they just prefer takling.

I'd say they look human because looking at a flashing screen with a print out isn't that friendly. My guess it's a nickname that stuck.

Hmmm......the Bumblebee one gets me......only reason I can think of was that it was because he was yellow. I think that by the time of the Great War, there had to be some explorations to earth, & some Cybertronian saw a Bumblebee. I dunno, go figure.

Perhaps, they do communicate via radio or telepathically through technology unknown to humans and us viewers were hearing inner dialogue.

This is going to sound like a SG-1/Star Trek kind of premise. Well, taking into account Beast Machines, the ancestors of the Transformers were organic. Therefore, perhaps a few of their ancestors separated from Cybertron and went into different parts of space. A few of them landed on Earth and seeded the primordial ooze. Hence, TFs don't look like humans, but humans look like TFs only smaller and organic.

Perhaps, their names are translations from their true Cybertronian names to human-english equivalents. I always thought this, especially with Wheeljack. Their original alt.s didn't have wheels so they didn't have the tool called a wheeljack, but perhaps his original Cybertronian names was a tool used to work on the parts of them that made them hover instead of having wheels.

I'll go w/Predaprince's thoughts here. I like 'em.

Doesn't Jazz have a line in one of the early TF comics where he says something like "my real name is unpronouncable to you, but you can call me Jazz?" I'm sure the TF names are just for human benefit.

Makes me wonder if the Movie will have them talking in an alien language before they hit Earth...

I had similar thoughts, but what about Primus-bare with me-if he is the agent of creation in the universe then all spieces are genetic brothers (kinda like in star trek)

They do talk via radio sometimes, but it could be that they talk audibly as it is harder to get eavesdropped that way. It might also have a group and social aspect to it that helps to bring solidarity and comeradery within the group/clan/nation/faction that radio might not do as good.

It could be that you only see the humanoid variant of the robotic life forms on Cybertron. There are a lot of other species on Earth, but we are the only ones that have higher technology and go into space. It could be that it happened to be the humanoid looking ones that developed higher tech and started exploring, so we would mainly see these then.

Bumblebee's name might be a rough translation of his name he got on Cyberton, and it was the closest word in Engish. His name could be of a creature that we never got to see in the comics and movie and cartoons. Or it could be a nickname he got recently, and not his real name.

Holy crap those are good answeres, i was expecting all of you to call me a smart ass when i asked them

Maybee in the movie spike might give bumble bee his name because i remember reading that spike puts a sticker that says Bee-otch on him.

show me a cockroach that can survive an ak47.

Do you know how impossible it is to shoot a roach? Try using napom.

I really like these theories feel free to add on

Most bipeds have a tail to counter balance the falling action of the bipeds walk. For some reason, humans do not have this tail, just.. the "tail bone"

Yes, which is why I added there about it sounding like from Star Trek because makes me think of the episode from TNG where they find out that humans, Klingons, Romulans, and Vulcans all came from the same race of aliens that seeded their respective planets.
