Where I'm at most Hot Topic employees fall more into the Goth category, but there's usually alot of crossover. Actually after you have been to art school, nothing really shocks you anymore. However I've usually found that the farther out there they looked, the nicer the person was. Go figure.
Back on topic. Decepticons ATTAAACK!!!
Actually I can only join you in spirit as I am some 1000 miles away from you.

Is there an alternative to the punch being served? Perhaps some delicious Counter-punch for the ladies to enjoy?

You should be able to get this online, unless you're a really big boy as the xtended sizes seem to be sold out.

She was trying to strike up conversation. Perhaps she was even being flirty??? I know it's hard to believe, but I suppose tone of voice, facial expressions and so forth, would allow you to be the better judge.
You should go back and ask her if she would like to come and see your 'collection'.

I guess we have different definitions of geek and nerd. Very well then, under your definition we are not.

thanks you know what i didnt notice the little scroll bar, i thought they only had smalls left. But thats not the point. the point is is that that greasy faced green haired goth called me out in public by calling me a geek.

this is really in response to the nerd thing. I, in no way shape or form consider my self a nerd. Nerds are people who are introverts, refuse to be social, spend 8 hours a day sleeping and the other 16 in front of a computer doing something that is the opposite of having a social life. An example that comes to mind is WoW. My roommate would rather play on line and "Hang out" with his friends on-line then go out for a beer or even lunch with his real friends.
In short, nerds are people that have convinced them selves they are too good for direct human socialization and are too affraid to enjoy life. I would consider myself a dork. I have a nerdy hobby, but it doesn't get in the way of my life.

For my definition of nerd, see Down_shifts post above.
As for geek... you know I've never really thought abot how to define it before, I just know what it is and isn't in my mind if you know what I mean? I guess if I had to I would define it as someone that has hobbies or interests that involve sci-fi or fantasy worlds, be they movies, tv shows, comics, or games. But unlike the nerd definition, it's just a hoby and not a substitute for real life.

That's a pretty good discription of a geek. Besides, geek now a days isn't really a derogatory comment.

I would have told her that what she called you was unconstitutional, that you can be a fan of what you want, withot anyone critisizing it, as equal to her look wtf she wants to look. That smart remark would certainly make her shut her yap, think a bitt, and then became speechles. Maybe After that she would go back to the storage see if they had some more jackets in the back...............Maybe....
Nah I definitelly dont call a TF fan a geek.......

Or a nerd for that matter. Its just a hobby, which with time can be extremelly profitable. Lets say even for years before, if your dad bought you a G1 Megatron, and You cheerished it, and still have it, for what kind of money you can sell it for, great profit, as well as satisfaction.Even that Shockwave we were debating about in a diff post..... aint that the proof of what I am saying?
