Query about Soundwave's batteries

Most of us know that the batteries in Soundwave become his shoulder cannon and hand weapon when he transforms into robot mode, but what I'd like to know is, when he mass-shifts down to cassette player mode, what form do his weapons take?

What I mean is, if some human were to pick up Soundwave in alt. mode and slide open the battery cover, would the human see regular AA batteries, or would the human see miniatures versions of Soundwave's weapons that have mass-shifted down?

Ah, that place. Barstow.

Do they get replaced by regular batteries, then?

I dont really wanna get into all that, I am tired and my brain is overheating on this batteries issue...... I'll sleep on that one, and maybe Teletran 1 will give me an answer through radiowaves.....

Personally, I think the weapons mass shift and alter to look like AA batteries within the rear compartment. Its all an element of disguise and camouflage.
