What's up folks?

We'd like to get an estimate of who is going to be at the convention and when in order to see about a meet up.

Many ideas have been tossed around to this point, drinking, gaming, plain old socializing, trading, the works....

If there is enough desire on the part of you all, some of us can see about making sure that calls are made, arrangements arranged, ps2s brought, etc.

If you have not been to the con before, a whole lot happens on Saturday night, but not much on Friday night. So, the two options are really either Friday night, or late Saturday.

Last year we had Street Fighter set up one of the con nights. There is also a request out there from some of the lady folk in attendance to play a game or two of Attacktix (I can supply either game without problem, so you don't have to buy attx).

Comment, post, hollar, pm, whine, text, or whatever you people do these days to turn thoughts into words.

Don't forget, most importantly of all,...

My SF game is top-tier and will give you nightmares.

My Fiancee and I will be there, it will be cool to see you again CP.

I will of course be there as well. Though I doubt I'd play Street Fighter. Only because my ass would be handed to me so badly, I wouldn't be able to walk around the convention.

Assuming all the juicy tax refund stuff pans out the way I expect it to, I'll be in attendance again this year myself. *fingers crossed* I will concede to ONE game of Street Fighter, but I'm only willing to get my ass handed to me once per con, so that's all ya get.

In all seriousness, the Seibertron folks I met at BotCon last year (Ryan, FenderBender, Ascepticon, Chad&Misty, etc) are the whole reason I joined this site (giving up my former patronage of the Allspark) after hovering in and out for months, so I'm definitely looking forward to meeting the rest of you, especially now that I have screennames to put with the faces!

I'll be there, one way or another. I also got a PS2 with 3 controllers and multitap if need be.

Just need some fun multi-player games. I'll try playing street fighter, but I suck. I'll bring Dynasty Warriors 4 along though. It has a duels game in it for 1 on 1 fights that I could school CP in.

I'll be there with bells on, so you can hear me coming.

How about Guitar Hero or Rock Band for anybody? I'm down for some SF although I will get my ass kicked royally!

We should get a big 360 party going. My room will have a high speed internet connection. Should bring a router, and we hook up a bunch of 360's and play Halo 3 or something.

I am so ready for Botcon, I got my confirmation that they got my registration so I am good to go. I have never, ever, used a game controller, though the license plate on my Excursion says "WII PLAY" I will go and hang round the bar. I'd be more for up for attacktix. Attacktix in the bar is way too fun. Can't wait to meet you all there.

I'll be there too, wouldn't mind meeting all of ya and hanging out.

I'll be hittin' up my first Botcon this year. I'm all for meetin' up with the Seibertron board folk...drinks, food and video games are an added bonus!!

Before I send out the forms I have a questions/comments.

This would be my first Botcon. And the thing is I don't know anyone around me who would be wanting to go.

Do you think it would be alright to alone?

I thought it would be a good way to meet new people. Especialy those I see post here.

I'm going by myself Nolga. Trust me when I say that you'll fit right in. Just look for the folks constantly looking at their feet and are wearing Transformers shirts.

Yeah you'll have to check other nearby hotels. Reservations for the hotel opened about 2 months ago.

When I was planning on going, I looked around town for other hotels and motels, since the convention center one was OUTRAGEOUS price-wise.....There are some less-expensive ones a bit further away, yet not that far.


Travelocity was running some decent deals through AOL.

I don't think $150 average for a queen size suite is that bad at all. That's how much mine came out to for each day and it has everything, including a high speed internet connection.

The Mrs. and I are going for a day, and we are bringing some friends along too.

I think next year I'm gonna schedual some vacation time for this, it's sounds like alot of fun, and I hate that I'm missing out.

I don't play games, but I do bring booze, and I can make a mean shot! That'd be my contribution.

I am in the same boat with you! I wanna go, but the cash just ain't there for me this year! Have already started stashing some nickels and dimes in a sock for it too! I can get the time off work and all that, but the cash is an issue (when is it NOT an issue, right?)

I also do not play games, and I do not drink...but I bring other means of entertainment (not that, for all you pervs! )

Have total fun, and I will be expecting assloads of pics too!

Sounds like lots of fun. Just to clear up the messages for those of slow on the intake. You're talking about video games right? Sounds dumb. But see I thought I was cutting edge with GBA. Only the year before they came out I upgraded to GB color. Then 2 years ago I moved up. Off topic but on a rant.. Only to find now they do not make games because they are onto something new. ARGHH!
