I figure this is the only place I know of where somebody will be as stoked as I am about the PC I put together over the past 24 hours (with a five hour sleep break).

You can see MP-05 and Hasbro MP Starscream a bit on top here (sorry my camera sux)...

In the lower left, you can see a stealth Barricade; this is where he was during Act 3 of the movie...

Sweet, I plan do a similar thing with my next PC I build. How did you get the images inside the case?

Well, it all started when I had the parts together, and the goal was to cover every square inch of the case. It's a Lian-li server case, so there's a lot of surface.

Anyway, I have a dupe copy of the entire Megatron: Origins line, and I got MP-05 for xmas and just love it... so I decided to make it "Megatraan 1"

I sacrificed much and used a ruler and a clean x-acto to trim cover-B off of issue 4 of origins, all while weeping, but "no sacrifice, no victory." The other image is from Spotlight: Galvatron, so that hurt less. Then I used a gel elmer's glue stick to prime the case, and then slick the images. Patient, careful placement, and voila! Kick-ass graphic art instead of lame, empty space. It won't come off without a fight, but that's the point. I may add some other images as I go, but once those went on, the project felt complete. They glow so well under the UV too, and I have a toggle for the red cold cathodes for putting Starscream in his place when needed; the images glow differently with the red light on.

All in all, comics covers were so ideal because they're so vivid, and they respond well to the differing blue, red, and UV cold cathodes.

If I do one I'm not sure who I'd do it of. Maybe Shockwave or maybe a Maximal, if they do a spotlight on the fallen I'd do one using him, that'd be awesome.

Awesome work and very creative although I spent about five hours playing and tinkering around at all of the various features on a friends Mac and wow I was impressed...I'm definitely buying a Mac in a couple of months at best.

My friend she has a 300 GB drive but I plan to get a Tera byte with a 24 inch monitor, it was freaking amazing, no bulky external cpu tower, it was VERY quiet I actually had to strain to even barely hear anything out of it, it was cool to the touch, easy to use, great sound from the built in speakers no external wires was nice to not have to deal with from satellite speakers, a built in internet camera with built in speaker, no bulky or add on components with more wires to deal with, great graphics, voice recognition technology however that was a bit flaky...she tried to get the computer to do various applications and it "refused" and I jumped in and then it did it on the first try with me.

She's been using her Mac a good ten months now and she could not think of a single complaint, in fact her regular pc has a bunch of garbage piled up around it and it's only been used twice at best she said in the last ten months.

Thanks for all the enthusiasm everyone! It's been nice getting this system up and running, but now I just want to do an autobot version...

I also find it ironic that as I overclock this system, I am using a stability benchmark that keeps getting Megatraan's core to throw errors. It's called "Prime95." Prime!! I will make you pay!

Above me, yeah, I'm just not a mac guy. The main reason is what I've just been through yesterday and today, overclocking this bad boy. PC's let you really let you get under the hood, and I managed to overclock my quad-core Intel 6600 from 2.4 Ghz to 3.6 Ghz. I also have complete control of the memory timings, overclocking the video card, etc. It's a lot more "tweak" friendly overall, and while not impossible on Macs, it's not as easy. The same goes for software. I find a lot of shady little utilities just aren't meant to run on Macs, and I seem to use a lot of them, as well as coding in visual studio.

Now, laptops, a different story. Since I don't really tweak my laptop to begin with, Mac laptops are definitely sexier and more reliable for that kind of work. My next laptop will probably be a Mac, but my desktop will always be a PC.

That's what's so great about PCs, fully customizable from what you use them for to what you put in them to what you put them in. Macs are just preassembled, limited hunks of metal and circuitry that drink power as well as cash and all for what? To make you feel special and like you're sticking it to "The Man"? I'll have a PC any day of the week.

I'm planning on building my new PC after I get this job tomorrow, not sure which faction it'll be though, Autobots or Decepticons but I doubt I'll be able to put any artwork in it :(. I may try to get some comics off ebay to use for it though, if I do it Con style I'm either gonna do Shockwave or The Fallen. Shockwave I'll do purple glows and some UV reactive purple, The Fallen I'll do orange/red glow with uv reactive orange and put on a custom window with flames on them, as it stands though I'd much rather do one with Shockwave using various images of him from his Spotlight comic.

I hope it's not too cliched to compare it to cars. I consider Macs to be Volkswagens, which they're allied with anyway. I'd be STOKED to buy a 2008 TDI (diesel) rabbit from volkswagen, and maybe pimp the gearknob, some cool rims, a few other cosmetic things. It would cost about $25,000 at the end of the day, and I'd be happy enough.

Or I could buy a Chevy Aveo5 hatchback for the frame basically for 11,000, and then put a corvette engine in. Some custom brakes, custom whoopass stereo, better torque out of the gearbox, custom clutch, you get the drift. Same 25,000 at the end of the day, but my Aveo5 that the VW guy laughed at on the way home from the lot would outperform like a monster against the TDI rabbit. And it would be encrusted with dayglo orange and cold cathode neon (yuck!), if I so chose... And it's a lot of fun weekends in the garage...

Now I want to buy a car.

Sure, that's cool and all if that's what you're in to but I'm just not a "tinkerer and putterer" so to speak especially when it comes to electronics...If I were to customize a regular pc it would come out looking like homer simpsons grill..."Le grill, what the hell is a Le grill ?" :P

I'm just looking for something neat and ready to go...nice and smooth just like glass.

These are the specifications I'm getting...

2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Extreme
4GB 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM - 2x2GB
1TB Serial ATA Drive
SuperDrive 8x (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)
Apple Mighty Mouse
Apple Keyboard (English) + Mac OS X
Apple USB Modem
AppleCare Protection Plan for iMac - Auto-enroll
Accessory kit
ATI Radeon HD 2600 PRO with 256MB memory
24-inch glossy widescreen LCD
AirPort Extreme
Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR

So what's the specs of this PC Abilor?

My new gaming rig should arrive soon then I'm gonna customize its case with some purple LED fans and a decepticon symbol on the window, maybe uv reactive. This PC I ordered with specific parts but my next one I'm gonna build if I have the time.

My new PC's specs are:

AMD Phenom 9600 Black Edition
4GB RAM
2 x 500GB HDD
DVD Burner with Lightscribe
ATI HD 3870X2
4.1 Speakers
Razer Diamondback Gaming Mouse
Logitech G15 Keyboard
DELL 22" LCD monitor from wal-mart
Windows Vista 64
700W Thermaltake Tough Power PSU

Not sure what the mobo is though, I forgot the model.

This thing is gonna kick ass.

My next PC will be an autobot, though when I get a 360 I may customize it's case with red LEDs and make it into the Autobot
