Skywarp Diamond Bust?

I just got this on eBay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=260222702179

I hadn't heard an announcement about it or anything like that and was wondering if anybody else had one and could tell me about it.

Why are the hands and null ray tips faded like that? How much is it supposed to be at retail? As I kinda jumped on it before I did any research, as I'd never seen it before.

Any thoughts/information would be appreciated.

I had not heard of that one either, and I usually get a heads-up on ANYTHING Skywarp! All the same, it looks great! Enjoy it...since I am now officially jealous!

I want one, damnit!

Looks like it's going to be a Wizard exclusive.. Thundercracker too. Although, I don't know if that means Wizard World or available through the magazine.

Hey guys, I saw your post and I am very curious about this as well. I saw the listing on ebay on Sunday, and I emailed the seller as to where they got the bust from. Here is his response:

Thanks for your inquiry. This item has been in stock for over a year February 2007 so I'd expect the related convention is past. Thanks.

I searched high and low for anything on the web that had a DST Skywarp bust, and I could find absolutely nothing, except for the link that was posted by RodimusConvoy 13. Still, nothing on the Wizards sites, and no listings of when it is available. I almost pulled the trigger on it ($55 + $20 was a bit harsh), but then it was gone (buy it now). Good to see someone here got it. I will be very anxious to see pictures and the edition size. Tekka, will you let us know the edition size and if it is the same pose as Starscream?

I just started collecting the DST busts about a month ago (so far I have Optimus, Megatron, Soundwave, Grimlock, Bumblebee and Starscream), and I also started to purchase some of the old Hard Heros busts. I have to say, I really like the Hard Heroes busts that "look" cartoonish, but the DST busts are pretty cool as well.

Have a good one.

Sure thing. I'll get scans of all sides of the box and pics along with size comparison pics with my Pallisades Skywarp and Hard Hero Megatron.

Still waiting for it to ship though, I'm expecting it to ship on the 3rd of March and arrive by the 17th. Shipping is always slow from the states, but as soon as it gets here I will get all that stuff done.

I'm just hoping nothing goes wrong as I see the seller has a few negs from not actually having the items he's selling. I just hope that isn't the case this time.

Well I had a feeling it was going to happen, but it turns out they didn't have the item and I just got my refund.
Juniors Warehouse (junior@juniorswarehouse.com) has issued you a full or partial refund for your payment.

Message from merchant:
Regret inventory miscount, item not available from publisher, apologies.
Very disappointing.

But I do now know at least that the bust will be available at some point in the future.

The Thundercracker Bust has been announced as an exclusive at New York Comicon and will be limited to 400 pieces...

Looks like I may be paying a bit more than retail for my Skywarp bust should it also be announced as a convention exclusive.
