We're less than 2 weeks away from Botcon now with roughly half the number of guests they had last year, amd I crazy to hold out hope for more?

Grrrrrrr...I'd love to go but I'm planning on spending $3,500.00 on my new computer system including taxes plus airfare and lodging food etc yeah so grrrrr!

I am surprised to hear that though that attendance is so low but I'm sure there will be a lot of late comers to the event.

maybe next year I can go!

If you listed to the Botcon people, pre-registered attendance is at an all-time high.

But if that is true, why only 2 official hotels compared to the 4 (I think it was 4) from last year?

I asked myself that question the other day as well. I don't have a definitive answer, but there was another convention in town last year, so that could have taken some rooms. There could also be more rooms in the hotels that they have this year. One other thing could be that people are staying in different cheaper hotels than the Botcon ones.

It's also probable that since the hotels are right smack in downtown Cincinnati, that they are all like 30-60 stories tall and have a lot more rooms available?
