The TRANSFORMERS name and sale of merchandise continues to grow. HASBRO has reported a 13% gain in revenue from last year this time. An excerpt from HASBRO.com:

Hasbro, Inc. (NYSE: HAS) today reported net revenues of $704.2 million, an increase of $78.9 million or 13% compared to $625.3 million a year ago, or an increase of 9%, net of the favorable foreign exchange impact of $25.4 million. The Company reported net earnings of $37.5 million or $0.25 per diluted share, compared to $32.9 million or $0.19 per diluted share in 2007.

"We had a strong 2007 and the momentum continues in 2008, with growth driven primarily by TRANSFORMERS and LITTLEST PET SHOP, as well as PLAYSKOOL, STAR WARS, BABY ALIVE, MY LITTLE PONY and board games," said Alfred J. Verrecchia, President and Chief Executive Officer.

"While it's early in the year and there is still a lot of business to be done, our first quarter performance reinforces the confidence we have in achieving our full-year financial goals," Verrecchia concluded.

Take that people who said Animated should have been released earlier! Now Q2 will show an upswing with Transformers Animated being released along with Universe carrying it through to the end of the year.

I was thinking that same exact thing, just didn't want to post it and get slagged by the populace. Thanks GD.

Boo hoo, All spark power repaints aren’t selling and are going to put Hasbro out of business! Heh, so much for that to the people who believed it. Next time I hear someone going on about how All spark power is so horrible and about how no one buys repaints, I’ll give them a load of this.

Just like in the old days when we used to be able to turn in so many collected "Robot Pts." for exclusive Transformer stuff, I thinks we should be able to turn in X number of reciepts from Transformer purchases for Hasbro Stock options. I think it would be a cool return on my investment in their product especially since I am not only buying for myself but my kids as well. Yeah, let's bring back the Robot Points for the grown-ups!
