Did anyone else just see the first scene of The Simpsons, just now
An army of blue clown G1 BumbleBees urging kids to get out and buy, less they die!!!

yeah that, even my wife said it had bad taste,with this ,and the Pirates 3 skit with the combine. and she is a hard one to get to say that is just wrong.

I laughed at the Pirates joke, but this clown thing was embarrasing for everyone.

I felt it was more a of a knock to advertisers than it was Transformers. While a little extreme it does remind us that the way products are aggressively marketed towards children is sometimes a little wrong.
They just happened to use Transformers to get that message across because it's in the public eye more than usual.
It was very silly though.

Exactly. And let's face it, G1 was essentially an extended commercial for the toys as were most cartoons from the 80's and that's what they were taking a swipe at.
TF's were just targetted because the movie has reignited people's interests in them.
