Whether it be fellow members or special guests, who did you you folks meet up with during the con?
Managed to have a little chat with a few of you folks and was very happy with that. If you didn't meet me, sorry for that.
Also got to have a chat with Mr. Isenberg for about 10 minutes about Animated in the dealer room. Good fella indeed.... Especially since he likes to visit the site!

Well, I didn't get to BotCon, but on said weekend I got to meet a whole bunch of cops from my home town as I kept one sister from being arrested, bailed out another, then left the other to rot.
And they wonder why I keep moving farther and farther away...
Good Times!!!

Aside from my Siebertonian family like PlasmaEnergyGod, Ultra Primal, Primal Fear, Geekee1, and, well, it was alot, I met Denton J. Tipton and told him I appreciated his blog updates and would like a heads up if he gets any more info on future works. Met Pete from TF Collector, he's a real cool guy, easy to talk to. I spoke with Simon Furman but it was brief as the line was long at that time. Alex Milne, who was cool, he stayed the whole day and talked to fans.
One notable fellow from the TFCC I met was a gentleman from the UK. He was awesome to talk to but I didn't get his name.

I feel so ashamed... lol, i'm a Cincinnati hometowner and forgot that botcon was this past week/weekend. I only managed to get into contact with Mkall, and spent this afternoon around downtown cincinnati with him.
Gosh, I would have shown you guys around, where to eat, how to use the Metro Bus transportation/maps, etc. D: Cincinnati is relatively boring but it's not too bad.

Um, lots of people.
Counterpunch, Geekee1, First Gen, EnergonCube, Delicon, FenderBender, Defcon, Ryan, several folks' significant others, and countless folks whose names escape me at the moment. It was a blast.

I ran into Savage for a second in the skyway, other than that I was trying to find a Seibertron shirt to wave the colors...but alas, it didnt' happen. I wanted to hit the meet at the bar but after a solid week of not sleeping I ended up passing out...eh well, next year it's on!

Pft. Half of Seibertron was staying in my hotel room...
::Premium floor space, low rent, friendly neighbors!::
I think I tried to personally meet everyone who came out to the event. I could try putting down all the names, but if I forget anyone, I'm going to feel like an ass.
As for semi-famous people: David Kaye, Tara Strong, Bumper Robinson, Simon Furman, Ben Yee, the BotCon Staff (big props to Lanny, Thank you so much for making time for us!).
Then, one of the coolest things happened. As I'm looking at the display case, the Japanese guy standing by it looks at me and says, "Do you like the toys I make?"
I was like, 'oh, ****!'. So, I'm not sure of his name, but apparently all the designers work for him. We talked for a little bit. It wasn't easy, but it was fun. I asked him if the Earth mode Megatron from Animated was based off of the Super Megatron design from G1. He said, "no...no.". Then we showed him a picture and he laughed saying, "They're so similar!"
Good times.

Who did we meet besides Seibertronians? I met and hung out with way too many Seibertronians to mentionhere except I need to mention Seibertron Ryan and Counterpunch. I did meet and hang with the folks from the TF collectors club. I met Vance the guy with the Transformers tattoos with autobots on one arm and decepticons on the other. I met Simon Furman, I met David Kaye, I met Chris Mowry who wrote the Reign of Starscream. I got a chance to talk to Benson Yee. Alex Milne signed my box cover for the Botcon toy set. I shook hands with a lot of folks who will not remember me. The best times I had were with my friends from Seib's.

Anyone who was actively there supporting Seibertron I probably met at one time or another even if we weren't properly introduced. I probablly spent most of my time around Counterpunch's posse where I met some awesome people like Geekee1, Energon Cube, Prime Evil, Mkall, Flux Convoy and many others.
We also put up Sgt. Grumbles and his real life room mate for their first night in town. They were a lot of fun and very patient waiting for my wife and I to get in from the airport (we had siome crazy flight problems)
As for "celebrities" I worked all the autograph lines, asked a few questions at the panels and wandered in when some of the boys were talking to Lanny Lathem. The funniest thing though was at the Casino Night Awards Dinner. I had to go back for our game voucher and told my wife to sit down and have some food while I got it. When I came back over Simon furman was sitting at the same table.
And not sure if this counts but me were walking past our hotel one day and there was this bum on the corner with a sign on ghis chest that told his life story. We didn't say anything to him or vice versa but as we walked by he started signing the Transformers song...

I unfortunately wasn’t feeling to good on Friday night because one of my buddies who I was driving with on thursday was sick or something and he didn't tell us. So I missed the big meetup
But I was feeling better by Saturday so I did manage to meet and talk to Alex Milne, Simon Furman, and when I was buying some of my figures I somehow got into a conversation with the guy who designed the Hearts of Steel Prime and Bumblebee paper models!
Next year I will make sure I see you guys. I feel like I missed out on a part of the con…

Simon Furman, Alex Milne, Tara Strong, David Kayne, Bumper Robinson...some fanartists I like, along with my roommates. Oh, and a couple of people wearing Seibertron.com T-shirts that motivated me to sign up. Do those guys count?

First Post!

Seriously though, I met two nice ladies on Sunday night in the hotel bar from this board. One was describing her seeker costume and a shoulder intake problem she had with the outfit. The other one talked to us about the animated series, and Monzo had a ton of stills from the animated show that we discussed.
They were fun to chat with, so I figured that I'd poke around here a little bit.
Hex.

Sweet! The T-shirts work! Welcome, new people!
As for me, I talked with Simon Furman, Alex Milne, David Kaye, and a few Hasbro people. From seibertron, aside from the people I already knew, I met Ryan, Counterpunch, and a few whose names escape me. Also, I met a bellhop/concierge or whatever while walking past one of the hotels on the way to the mall food court that really really liked my Bad Religion T-shirt.

Cool, I may resemble that remark. You were talking mostly to Kristy who goes by Darkqueen01 on this forum. She was really into the Animated stuff. The aformentioned costume is in my sig. Which one of the three guys on my right were you? Cause the guys on my left were Simon Furman, Ben Yee and the two that wrote the MSTF dialogue. One of you was from TFWiki.
Welcome to the forum and I do love my Seibertron.com shirt.

Kudos for walking into a bar with that outfit on!
I know for a fact we did not meet in person, but it was good to see all you cosplay folk out for the event.

LOL thanks! I wasn't planning on it; my Pit Crew convinced me to while I'm all "OMG WAIT" and then one of the guys we met just started announcing me. By then it was too late to back out...XD;;

Hex65000, Artoni, a big welcome to our little world. I'm relatively new myself bneing that I joined in February but all of the people here made me feel welcome right away. By the time Botcon hit I felt like just one of the group.
But, being that you are new, did anyone provide you with...
THE WARNING?

Yes, I did talk with you a little bit. Going around the table starting from your right... Darkqueen01, me, Monzo, Doug, Phil, Ben, Simon, and you.
Nice work. I'm not sure what I'd do if I were into Cosplay stuff.
I've floated the idea to my wife into doing Excel Excel and Illpalatzo(sp!)-Excel Saga or Dr. Tachiocha(sp!)-Gungrave. It's just not in my comfort zone and I'd most likely self-destruct from self-consciousness. We could use duct tape, but it would only really act as extra shrapnel.

EnergonCube wrote:One of you was from TFWiki.
That was most likely Monzo. I haven't really done any TF discussion groups since before A.T.T. fragmented.
This year was interesting in that it made me reevaluate some of my priorities when it comes to dealing with these Cons... That is another discussion for another time though.

Hello there, my name is Patrick and I think this is the first time I have posted here. If you do not know who I am, I am 6'5, my head is shaved and I won 2nd and 3rd place in the 2D Color contest. Anyway I took a lot of pictures at Botcon and wanted to make sure that the people I took pitures of got them. So if you know anyone in the pictures I took or you are in one of the pictures I took, please let me know. They are part of my Facebook.com galleries and open to the public. I will also post them online at Kodak Galleries as well. Please let me know if you have any questions and I willsee everyone next summer for BOTCON 2009: celebrating 25 years of Transformers.

Thank you for supplying the other names (Doug and Phil), and yes I remember you and did talk to you before Kristy came in. I just wish they hadn't closed Champs at 11:30, I like meeting people. I am pretty good at remembering faces, but not names.
Try the cosplay, in the right circumstances it can be quite fun. It is all about the people you meet. I will be in costume again tomorrow. Actually being hired for comic book day.
Hey Patrick,
How did your molds come out from the casting class. I still have to unmold mine. And welcome to Seibertron!
