i was reading some bios and it seems the autobots are like the decepticons, what the story behind this years exclusives.

Cliffjumper finds his way through a rift in time where the morality of the Autobots and Decepticons are switched. You may find it interesting but the fuel is different, and they don't have sparks, they have embers. It's a new alternate reality.

sounds interesting, but i can't get the magazines and i probably will never get to a botcon so can someone tell me more of this story or can someone point me to someplace where i can read it. i kind've thought that was the case when i saw optimus prime and starscream in the previews. but does this mean sideswipe is a decepticon and a good guy. i saw him in the gallery with no remolded decepticon symbol on his arm.

among other things it explores the whole idea of megatron being the actual hero in the name oft he greater good

which in some part has been done over the years when it comes to megatron being in some part the murderous tyranical powerhungry warlord in addition to also being the flawed martyr to his people and also being the anti hero as well
