There's some old ideas from Transformers that were good ones but weren't really pulled off too well and havn't been revisited.

One prime example of this is humans that can actully join the transformers in combat. I'm talking about Exso-suits, Headmasters, Targetmasters, and Powermasters.

In a way Mini-cons became the new Head/Target/Power Masters but they weren't human. In Animated we got "The Headmaster" as a human in a transforming suit.

It's not really the idea of linking up to larger transformers that intrests me it's just the idea of the transforming Exso-suit that actully allows the human characters to be more than just calateral damage.

In most series humans are just there, they serve no purpus, and everyone hates them. Giveing them exso-suits again might lead to a real reason to have the human characters around.

Allthough people may still hate them.

G1 Humans weren't bad with their exso-suits so why haven't they been in TF sence then?

Anyway this topic is only to talk about exso-suits. Anything from Transformers that you thought was a good idea but hasn't been carried over to the next series. Post it here.

Hmmm, good point about the exo-suits. However, if you've been reading the IDW comic, especialy the 6-issue "Devestation" story arc or the Ultra Magnus Spotlight (the latter of which ROCKS), you should know that headmasters no longer need an exosuit. As for Mini-cons, I guess you could say that they were an atempt to re-invent them, as Head,target, and I think powermasters were represented. Sidways had his two mini-con headmasters plus a "real" head andOmega Supreme had that little robot that was a "true" headmaster, Leader-1 and Over-Run/Run-Over could beome guns and therefore targetmasters, and Crumplezone the mini-con could become a cockpit extension for Cyclonus.

I don't know, I think Kicker from Energon fits the exosuit catagory, and as far as a Human in a TF series goes, I liked him.
