Extremely disappointed. Other than last year, they always schedule TFcon at the end of exam season. Even if by some stroke of luck I finish my exams by then, I won't have any money! End of May was much better timing.

My kids couldn't go to Botcon last year because it was in April so I drove them 2000 miles to go to TFCon as part of a vacation. It was a blast. No way could I take them in April to TFCon. That's too bad.
One of my kids was the "Brawl" champ, he is going to hate to miss it.

The date is actually really interesting. Last year, TFCon's date was shifted ahead to the end of June because of the shifted date for Botcon (from June to April). With 2009's TFCon shifted back to its previous April date, I think it's likely that Botcon has been shifted back to the June date in recognition of the movie.
Which makes me wonder if Botcon 2009 will be a joint effort with JoeCon. Time will tell of course, but given the proximity of the two movie launches, it's possible.

I can't believe how much not knowing the when/where of Botcon 2009 is bugging me, it seems like 9 years already since this year's Con.
Conversely, last year's April Con made me think "wow, that was quick"
Mkall, hopefully you'll make Botcon again this year. It was nice meeting you (and everyone else)
