The title says it all. The time between Botcon 07 and 08 just flew by, but we're probably still a long long ways from an announcement on time/venue for Botcon 09 and I'm getting really rammy about it.
Anyone else feeling this way?

Hey Delicon,
Yes, I am anxious too! Two weeks ago I sent FunPub an e-mail about why there is no page up for Botcon 09 yet. They sent me a reply that they still did not know dates yet.
For me, Botcon will not be about the toys nearly as much, it will be about the people I met last year.

I'm getting more and more antsy every day. It's gonna be so awesome to see you guys again. And the TransFormers will be cool too.

Maybe this time when we visit your room, we'll go the right hotel.

Hopefully when you guys see me again, my body type will be closer to that of Savage and less like the Michelin man

Skin and bones? Good luck, man. My goal is to put on a few pounds of muscle someday.
And Energon, the hat is a must!

First Gen did not look like the Michelin Man! Don't believe him. HaHa.
Anyway, Savage, hat it is.
That was pretty funny knocking on the right room door and wrong hotel last Botcon! We were all sheep led by our fearless leader, you know who...

Allow me to quote myself, knocking at the terrified couple's door, achem..., "It's the PO-lice! Drink the evidence and hide the **** behind your head!"
No regrets.

The ants are officially in my pants too!
Last year I missed out on going to BotCon and I've had little legends class Inferno's crawling around in my pants ever since! I NEED to go to BotCon next year, her royalty demands it!

At one point they still had some 2005 boxed sets available, not sure if they still do. In general though, both the big boxset you pre-order and the additional figures you can buy at the convention sell out insanely fast (last year the box sets sold out almost three months ahead of Botcon)
Every year the sets get more and more coveted so if you want them, order them early. They do sell some loose sets for those who can't attend but those go faster and faster each year.
Hope this helps.

The TF Club updated their Botcon.com web page the other day telling us to hang in there.

I really hope that me the wife and the baby get to go next year. The biggest thing for me now is that I don't want to miss seeing all of you guys.
Throwing it out there for all you noobs. You are all welcome to come and hang with us. It's easy to find us. We're the awesome people, just follow the aura.

If I get enough money squared away this will be my first Botcon. I really want to be there for the 25th Anniversery celebration of "The Transformers"

You absolutely have to go, man. It would be cool for me to meet the rest of your family.
And if the kid is getting rowdy, Counterpunch said he'll gladly stay back at the hotel room and babysit for him.

Okay, now I'm REALLY antsy for Botcon 09...
I got to thinking about this.
There was only a 10 month window between Botcon 08 and Botcon 08.
Now read this,,,
http://www.botcon.com/botcon06updates.cfmAt Botcon 06' they actually announced the when/where of Botcon 07. They were 9 months apart.
Now we are well over 7 months since the last Botcon and getting misinformation at best. I realize it is mainly just how it fell, but it still sucks.

It is driving my fr00t too! I have relatives willing to offer financial assistance to get me there this year (since they royally screwed up last year for me....families can sometimes suck!)...and they have been ding-donging me for some months now as to the particulars of the event, and all I can do is shrug and give the ever-classic-and-well-hated "I dunno." They tire of that.
I just wish they'd get it in gear and give us a SOLID annoucement already!

Me too dude, last year I missed literally EVERY convention due to "stuff" and more unexpected "stuff". My little brother was so bummed I couldn't take him. This year I want it to be different, I want it to be the best gift I give him ever! But due to limited funds I need to know where it will be. That's the deal breaker for us unfortunately.
But if we get a couple of months heads up we may be able to pull something off. Here's hoping.

I am just wondering if anyone else is loosing interest in this convention due to lack of information. Seriously, we have hopes for a great convention because it is the 25th anniversary of transformers. But remember that FunPublications runs the convention so that kind of dampens the hope of a great con right there. They will be so concerned with their toys that they miss the point, which is the fans.
It just seems that it is expensive just to go and see some people that I met last year, perhaps to become better friends, and will never see them again. What I find even more interesting is that of all the people I met last year who keep in touch with me regularly, none of them are Seibertronians.

I don't know, people like Savage, CP and myself might not write you PM's all the time but do try to check in from time to time...
Besides, you're going to Botcon 09 because we need to see the hat again.
