Most people know that the typeface used in the Transformers logo is available to download under the name 'SF Transrobotics'.

The designers of Transrobotics, a company called ShyFoundry, have recently updated this old font - re-branding it as 'SF Animatron' - and have released it commercially.

This new version looks far superior to the old TransRobotics typeface(the lower-case glyphs are a drastic improvement IMHO), and is well worth anyone's money.

Nice find! I have a free version of the Transformer font that I use quite a bit for my Transformer design pieces, but it doesn't have lowercase, bold, and italic like this one. Not sure yet if I'll buy this right now, but thanks for posting it!
