The Dinobots, or 'Dynobots' for you more "well read" types, have a fairly big fan base. But it seems that most of the time Grimlock gets all the glory when it comes to things like screen time, toys, etc. Now, I love Grimlock just as much as the next guy (or gal), but I was wondering which of the other 4 Dinobots folks liked?

Personally I'm big fan of Snarl. Something many of you have known for awhile no doubt. I guess really it's because he was one of my first and favorite Transformers when I was little. There are just too many good memories.

So how about the rest of you? Who's your favorite G1 Dinobot?

I have fond memories for Sludge as a toy.

However, Grimlock is the best Dinobot. He gets a new brain in the cartoon and leads the Autobots in the Marvel comix run.

All of the other DB's are just background characters, they don't have any "real" personality.

Other than Grimlock the only other Dinobot of note for me would be Swoop. Since he was really the only other Dinobot to get any focus in the cartoon.

But of course... Grimlock is still king.

Also I love the random banter between Grimlock and Slag on Quintessa.

Grimlock is one of my top 5 all-time favorite characters in TF fiction. But, if we're picking from the remaining Dinobots, I'd have to go with Swoop.

Slag.....just for the namesake . Gotta go with Swoop on character, the other Dinobots were kinda tossed aside.

Was it Sludge who said he'd fight Grimock if he ever went off the deep end? it was probibly in a mosaic or something but still gotta love him for that

Still I'd probibly choose Snarl , just coz he's a steg and they were always my favourite

Then again Swoop had some pretty merorable moments in the comics

so excluding Grimlock my favourite dinobots are Sludge, Snarl and Swoop sorry Slag

I like Snarl too. I think he was my first Dinobot too and he's just a good figure. Unfortunately mine tore up. I've pondered getting a G2 one but I just don't see it.

To tell you the truth, I'm not a fan of Grimlock. I've never been attracted to the mainstream characters, unless that character is Optimus Prime, of course.

My favourite Dinobot is easily Swoop.

Even more reason to like Snarl, not sure why I thought it was Sludge something to do with him being the biggest~?

My favorite dinobot was always Sludge, even if Grimlock was included, Sludge was my top D-bot. We got a tiny glimpse of his personailty in War of the Dinobots. Remember Megatron,

"Grimlock is arrogant, Slag is hostile, and SLudge is just plain stupid." Gotta love the big dumb guys!

Also, can people please refrain from refrencing the Dinobots as DB's. Pictures of Summer's Eves pop in my head. Not somehting I'd want administered by a Dino Bot. Or anyone for that matter!

I am not much of a Dinobot fan, really...but I really have always enjoyed Swoop for some reason. G1 cartoon didn't do too much with him (or any other Dinobot but Grimlock..who happens to be my LEAST favorite)and the G1 toy was rather mediocre, but I always had an odd affinity for him....


...then Animated came along and What a fastastic figure!

So, yeah...Swoop is it for me!

Swoop, his comic version was pretty well written, especially his interactions with Morris were excellent.

Slag. He's attitude especially the banter with Grimlock makes him my favorite Dinobot after Grimlock.

Swoop.

But really, I love all the Dinobots. I'd buy a reissue box set in a heartbeat.

Or Classic versions, if they'd make them.

Amen. I'm looking forward to MP Grimlock. Now if only they'd make MP Snarl.... (wishful thinking, I know....)

You've been known to breathe fire from time to time.

Grimlock was always my favorite and that is why I took my time painting this custom Grimlock.
