did you ever notice that the person who voiced the original optimus prime always narrates commercials for cartoon network but never does the voice for optimus in tf animated? i mean cant he guest star in animated like weird al did?

His name is Peter Cullen. I don't know about him doing the voice on CN but that person sure sounds like him.

^ I know for sure he did most of the Toonami promos back in the day. And he does movie previews and stuff too.

Peter Cullen has a contract with Cartoon Network to narrate their commercials. He does not have a contract with Animated at this point in time.
