this is a question ive always wonderd. since there are like 5 of them, it would be awsome if they were combiners. what would their combiner moe look like? and who would be what body part. i would think that grimlock being the leader would be the body/head. Sludge be both legs, slag and snarl are the arms and swoop be the chestplate/possible wings. and then all their personal weapons combine also.....

well seeing as how dinobot by himself is second to prime in strength all 5 dinobots gotta be stronger then devestator

They did combine-in the comics that came free with the g1 dvds, i cant remember the name of the beast but it was pretty impressive and homicidally insane, thats why they dont combine often

any pics? i didnt know the dvds came with comics. who published them? and were they original comics or reprints?

Think you'll find that's the Japanese remold of the Monster Pretenders.

There's never been any official gestalt from the Dinobots, only various fan arts and kitbashes.

Yeah as pointed out the only time we saw the Dinobots combine was in a DVD release Comic called "The Beast Within", and the combined form was only called "The Beast", and as it happens I have both comics on my comp, so i give you, this:

Dude, put up the rest of the comic. I always wanted to see how the battle turned out. And I know there's a kitbash out there that combines all 5 Dinobots & keeps them intact in Dinosaur & Robot mode. I believe it was called Tyrannoking.

I remember reading the comic(don't have it though), and it really was an awsome comic. Very light on plot, but I thought the art was pretty good, and it's got some really cool sequences. Oh, and Skids cameos too!

Is there anything canon about the comic? I've always wondered that.

Wow, now thats a Combiner I'd be all over if it ever came out.

I think the original movie would have been incredibly different it the Dinobots did combine.

There's been a couple floating around at one time or another. Tyrannoking was made by Computron at Transtopia (http://tfmaster.com/gallery_kb0067.php), and I believe Piranacon's done one too. I'm sure neither of these are the first, though, because I remember saving a pic over five years ago of a Dinobot combiner, although I have a vague recollection that may have been called Tyrannoking as well.
