is it just me or girls do not know how to play with TF at all.

the sweetest girl is ROUGH with them, wtf?
its like since Autobots and Decepticons are at war with each other, she thinks the toys need to go to war with each other for real and knocks them over and makes them stomp on each other and throws them
I'm speaking of my ex btw, and no she's not my ex because of TF.

I'm smart enough to know that

GF > TF

It's just you. My wife has handled them before, she even successfully transformed some, so yeah.

it may be just your ex. I guess not all girls are rough with TFs because I speak from experience (I am actually a female).

my fiancee (she'd cough and correct me if i said girlfriend ).. is quite into transformers her self.. though she doesnt have so much of a collection.. just a hand full of robot heroes and movie Barricade.. but she loves the cartoons, both films and often reads my comics..

anything involving Grimlock or Bulkhead has her grinning ear to ear its very sweet..

she always handles my TF's very carefully,.. so much so if a limb pops off a joint she'll panic, put it down gently and start saying sorry... alot.. heh..

theres been several occassions she's even told me to pick some things up whilst were in Toys R Us or Toymaster... like the Animated battle begins set.

im very lucky to have her.. not for her putting up with my hobby.. but she's wonderful ^_^

I'm a girl and I'm not very intuitive at transforming. Not my gender, just me.

I'm also constantly re-arranging them on the shelves and dusting them, which means I end up dropping quite a few. This does bother my husband a bit (dropping them) but what can I do? When we get a new one I can't just put it on the shelf anywhere, it has to go by faction and by series. *not a chick thing, just a bit OC*

actually i have to agree there i dust mine quite often.. have them all organized by series.. not so much by faction for my 2 Armada/Cybertron/Energon shelves.. but everyone else its pretty much split down the middle..

...i drop or knock mine over to.. though im just abit clumsy sometimes :s heh..

How old are you and how do you play with transformers?

My idea of play is to set up dioramas. I even made clothes for one once. LoL I gave my Botcon megatron to a 7 year old, she had no problem with treating it well. She also had no problem transforming it either, took her about two minutes to figure it out.

Oh, I assure you....it is just YOU!

It is some of the men in my life that cannot properly handle and play with my TFs...and, because of that, most are BANNED from touching them! Even my ancient and well-loved G1s are in decent shape...as some of those that I have traded with can attest to!


BTW, I am a female.

My girlfriend does not share my passion for Transformers, in fact when we first started seeing eachother I'd put all of them away exept for Alt Swindle for fear that my extreme nerdy ways would scare her off. Thankfully she's used to my nerdy disposition, its been over a month and a half now and Swindle has since been joined by movie Jazz and on occasion Henkai Astrotrain, I'm thinking classics Mirage next?

When GFs of mine have tried transforming they've tried moving bits that obviously aren't supposed to move but they've never been violent or come close to breaking things.

My girlfriend is great. She's transformed a couple successfully herself when I open up new ones, though often she gets stuck and hands it to me to finish (if attempting it without instructions).

But she does like to pose them... one time I came home to find my Classics transformers dressed in paper skirts and bikinis holding a sign saying "We're the DragFormers"

But she is quite supportive of my hobby and she even sat down and watched Animated with me (which she now loves).

And now she wants a TFA Omega Supreme toy. Oh no wait.. that's me.

Me: Can we watch Transformers?
Girlfriend: Aw why?
Me: Please
Girlfriend: Aw but its boring

At least she watched Iron man with me.

My wife is one of us thankfully (Sustain). She won't let me touch her Soundwave's on pain of Death.

Dang skippy, keep your man hands off my Soundwaves. I have lots of TFs, some I won't even transform myself, while others are in arms reach for that down time between mission of HMW.
