But its even funnier that they can find 5 reasons to fire Starscream in just the first episode!

Of course, the real reason Megatron never fired Starscream is because Screamer is his nephew, and Megs owes his sister a huge favor!

The Situation

After four million years, a volcanic eruption brings the Decepticons back to life with the aid of fix-it robots on the Autobot ship that crashed on Earth. Once all the Decepticons are fully functional, Starscream begins firing his arm laser aimlessly at the valley below.

If Megatron was smart they would have all finished off the Autobots instead of investigating the planet.

Which is why I like IDW's G1 Megs. He's a bit "smarter" than his toon counterpart.

I still say the best Megatron is BW/BM Megs

You can't really compare G1 Megs to BW/BM Megs. 2 seperate characters. It's almost like the "Kirk vs. Picard" argument.

Your right, G1 Megatron can't compare to BW/BM Megatron because he sucks. Just like Kirk sucks compared to Picard

Kirk was way cooler than Picard!

And you forget, if it wasn't for G1 Megatron, there would be no BW Megatron.

I agree, like so much screwing up in the first episode, i can only imagine if they catalogged the entire series till he got fragged how much they d have on him heh. My niece even was like is he dumb or something(particularly at the random shots that woke up the autobots) when I showed her and my nephew the early episodes of transformers after going to see the new movie with me. (which was like crack as I addicted the lil unicron spawns like any good uncle should.)

Beast wars megatron was awesome. I love beast wars(as if my sig didnt give that away as dinobot and silverbolt of BW are two of favorite TF characters) as I hope they make another transformer series on part with it in terms of characterization overall quality. (animated it still good, as it gives transformers back to kids as well as still likeable enough for older fans.)


As for why starscreamer wasn't slagged sooner....

I actually never realised there were so many screw-ups Starscream made from the first episode. If we had all the Starscream screw-ups from the First episode till the last. The list would probably be longer than the Bible.

How Starscream managed to even make it to the ranks of 2nd in command is nothing short of a miracle.

What would of been incredibly funny is if Megatron found out it was Starscream who ressurected the Autobots. He'd be incredibly pissed, and would of blasted Screamer to the next Galaxy and beyond....Mind you if he paid attention over the years that should of happened from mistake NO: 1.

I was thinking of addressing that in a fan fic I was working on, partly due to his nature to always run away (hes amoung first yell decepticons retreat to point almost a battle cry) thus likely survived most fights his higher ranking decepticons didnt. or his indestructible spark might saved him from being wiped out.

Like the star wars promotion route, you survive you get promoted. Whichhe might been largely responible for those above him in ranks deaths with all his scheming. "Im hurt starscream, get help.."(blasts his captain and gets promoted) Hes actually dangerous enough to kill people when they re backturned(hes not a total wuss, just selfish), so its highly likely he performed well enough to gain some attention too.
