I've fallen into the habit of buying out of print stuff (mostly comics) and end up paying a heavy premium on them. However, while browsing through a comic shop many miles away from home, I noticed they had Transformers: Genesis in their counter. Thankfully I bought it at cover price! Amazon's used listing has pretty outrageous prices.

Really good pieces of art in the book.

Holy damn, man. I can't believe they let you pay cover price for this thing. After seeing some of the eBay and amazon prices, I'm super glad I got this thing when it first came out. Which piece is your fave? I like the BW Megatron by Dusty Peterson.

I'm particularly fond of Don Figueroa's stuff. I love his Star Convoy and Predaking pieces since I've never seen those before.

This book totally reminded me of when most of these artists were just doing fan stuff like Dan Khanna and Guido Guidi. Hell, I totally forgot how much I like this painting of Prime.



Hell, despite what people think of Pat Lee now, he was doing great Transformers art before phoning it in.

There are some truely breathtaking peices of art in Transformers: Genesis.

Genesis is a brilliant work and I am glad I was able to pick it up when it can out. (all the copies were set from pre-order, but I was able to get one as somebody bailled on picking up a copy)

Some of the pieces aren't as sweet as others in it but the better art more than makes up for them.

I was also lucky enough to pick it up when it first surfaced, I love it! Some really cool stuff in there, I particularly liked the set of Dinobots in there.
