Games Workshop have long used subtle nods towards existing lisences for their Warhammer range, from Aliens and the Terminator (Tyranids and Necrons) to monty Python and the Holy grail (the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch is an upgrade in an army).

Now it seems Transformers are getting the treatment with the Release of the new Lizardmen fantasy battle book next week. The Dinobots are all mounts

Kroq-Gar, the most famous old-blood rides into battle upon his Carnosaur Grymloq.
Mage Lord Mazdamundi casts his spells atop Zlaaq, his Stegadon (its a Triceratops really)
Lord of the Skies Tiktaq'to soars above the battles on his terradon Zwup.

Of course the names are butchered to avoid any legal issues and i cant link to any proof im afraid since its all in the army book and GW arent very happy about people posting their pages on the Tinterweb. Still, it amused me

GW always amuses me in the way they are completely overprotective of their properties and protectionist atitude regarding use of game materials, yet they see no issue using things in these ways.

Not all that disimilar to a few years back when the Tao and their heavily Anime designs were released instead of the Space Skaven that some people had been waiting for since Rogue Trader was published

Makes me glad I stopped buying their stuff, beyond the odd issue of Drawf.

Well, in a wierd coincedence how about this. An awesome conversion from one of the guys on a Wargaming website i vist has made this.

Its a 40k Ork Trukk with something extra



And yes it Transforms!
