BotConers: Do you keep your badges?

This will be my third BotCon, and in previous years I've noticed some folks walking around on Thursday wearing the previous year's badge or even all their previous badges. I do save my badges, they hang from my rearview mirror, and I brought my first one along for the second convention. I dunno, it seemed fitting that it should make the trip. How about ya'll? Who saves their badges? Who wears them again?

I keep mine as well, I actually display them over the box sets in my displays. It's like they are part of the souvenir set.

Although I never did wear any of them to other Botcons, however I have also seen other fans wearing multiple badges.

I wish I could make it this year. :-( Have fun Savage!

I do keep mine and my wife's. We have a lot of autographs on them.

I'm kind of a packrat, so yeah, I keep my badges, but I don't think I'll wear them with the other badges however.

Let's throw the first person we see doing that into the nearest dumpster...Revenge of the Nerds style!

I keep mine, if only for the distinct purpose of smuggling people in to Botcon who didn't get a Primus or other package the next year.

Yep, in 2007. Mr. Down_Shift thought his registration (from Canada) went through and it did not. So he showed up anyway, a little disappointed.

Well, I sold him my bagged set at cost, as well as my extra souvenirs I got (because they forgot to punch my card) at cost. Then I loaned him my 2006 lanyard and card and he was able to go into the dealer room and panels with it. So needless to say, that lifted his spirits and saved the weekend.

Not my fault they make the cards look the same every year.

I always wondered if that would work. The badges are slightly different each year, but at first glance, especially at even a small distance, easily mistakable. I just figure the penalties for getting caught simply aren't worth trying it.

Keep 'em. It's a memento.

I've only been to one convention. I'd go back but they've been too expensive and too far for travel (plane ticket vs drive time). I've kept everything, I may still have the manila envelopes that our badges and stuff was in.
