THis was a discussion my Brother and I used to have. Which Beast Wars character descended from Which G1 character. It's hinted that some of the maximals are former autobots or just use a namesake.

GImme a list of who you think is who and gimme a reason why.

Optimus Primal: Descend from Ultra Magnus, considering he isn't a Prime but is still a leader, it is possible he descended from the city commander.

Cheetor: Descended from Rodimus/Hot Rod, he is young and reckless and all speed much like Rodimus, not to mention when he meets him in the comics Cheetor considers it a high Honor.

Rattrap: Descends from Mirage, he's the maximals best spy/demolition expert, and barely anyone trusts him, much like Mirage.

Rhinox: Ironhide, he's an old warrior, and always carries the big guns!

Terrorsaur: I'd say Starscream, they somewhat look similar physically and Mentally, who knows how many times he's tried to take command!

Silverbolt is namesakes decendant. Or Springer.

Quickstrike could be any number of people.

If Silverbolt is descended from Springer,
Then could Quickstrike be descended from Sandstorm?

I think it's assuming a lot to think that BW character X was descended from an epic-level G1 character Y, based on their occupation and general personality traits, in any in universe capacity.

That said however, I'd point at Warpath when assessing Quickstrike's parentage. Remember, Quickstrike was a Maximal (never even reprogrammed), and he was loud, obnoxious, and belligerent. Unless of course one assumes that those extreme characteristics are the results of being a fuzor, rather than default personality.

Of course, assuming that lineage is reliably tied to default faction, then we must bear in mind that Black Arachnia and Inferno are both descended from Autobots as well... and Dinobot from a Decepticon...

I heard, from a friend that isn't known to lie, that Terrorsaur is descended from Starscream (look at the parallels) and that this was backed up somewhere officially.

Personally I never saw the information, but it wasn't too wild to refute initially.

Never thought Rattrap would be related to Arcee, that or he was just being obnoxious
