First i thought There was only one Transformers Wiki:

But then i found another one:

http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Main_Page

And,for i can tell,they are indentical,with some minor differences.

Why there are two?

Transformers.wikia came first. And then the adverts went crazy, covering the text and generally being unruly, so most of the folks there started a new one that was more dependant, hence Tfwiki.

Something like that anyway.

yup. I goto TFwiki.com, its better updated and more complete imho

The official word from the guys who work(ed) on the sites is that TFwiki is the site you should use.

They left Wikia due to a number of issues, and requested after setting tfwiki up for Wikia to close down the older site, long story short, Wikia refuses to remove the old site and not it is being administrated by one guy who is completely overworked keeping spam and crap out of it.

Really seeing it is not being updated with any chance of regularity, it's best to completely ignore the wikia site, unless you want headaches or want to risk getting poor information.

Yeah, there's a lot more than just minor differences on some pages at this point, as we've added a lot of info since the split compared to Wikia. TFWiki.net is where you want to be visiting.

So why people update both with the same information?Isnt that unuseful busy work?

Well, it's more like different sets of people adding the information in both places; I think there's only one person who actively edits on both wikis.

I personally honestly couldn't tell you why anyone bothers with the old wiki, as I just edit the new one; I don't know any of the new crop of editors at the old wiki except for that one guy.
