My new Starscream tattoo!

Saturday I had the pleasure of getting my first of many Transformers tattoos. The artist's name is Half Pint, from Marvel Tattoo Studio (http://www.marveltattoo.com/artists/half/half.htm) in South Bend, IN. I wanted to share it with everyone. What do you think?

Half pint will have a booth at Wizard World Chicago this year, so if you are in the area, you can stop by and check out more of his work.

Dood, I like that A LOT!! I have some ink on me, but have yet to get a TF tattoo. I do want one, but that will be something very special. I'm having such a hard time figuring out what I want for my TF tattoo.

I was telling some pple (flux convoy) at this year's con that I was thinking of having the decepticon G1 and G2 symbol on my right forearm and the upside down Autobot G2 symbol (for renegade) and Shattered Glass symbol on my left forearm. But I can't be sure if I want to commit to that yet. Or should I just go for a character pic...To much awesomeness. Also thought about just putting Ops head somewhere on me. IDK...

Thanks! Whatever you do, just make sure you find someone that understands how to tattoo robots. Not every artist understands exactly how they should look, and then you end up with one of the many poopy Transformers tattoos out there. Don't just settle for someone local. Use MySpace or InkedNation to find an artist that can do exactly what you want.

If you are in the states, Half Pint is an amazing artist. Definately worth the trip no matter where you are coming from. He lives/works 8 hours away from me, but I'll drive up there anytime to ensure I have a piece that I love.

Overall the work is pretty nice but the perspective on the head is way off. Sorry.

It might be the curve of my arm that makes it look a little off..

Oh, I have two artist I go to where I live. They are both incredible. I've always been into comic book and art but can't draw myself, but I know what to look for. ;)

But my only concern is exactly what you said. Drawing robots. One does incredible free hand work. The other is an incredible portrait artist, but both do not fall under Robot Artist. LOL. So that does concern me, but no so much. Hell, I've been wanting a TF tattoo for years, but I can't pull the trigger on what I want. I always want my next tattoo to be a TF one, but whenever I go, I end up changing my mind. So I should probably go thinking about something else, and then watch me end up with Cyclonus. :D

How many of hours of being needled did that take to get outlined, and then how many more to colour in?

Nice tat, very original, and very detailed.

It took around 4 1/2 hours total. Half Pint works fast.

Wow, nice work. I've been contemplating getting an Autobot symbol or a Hot Rod face on my shoulder. Except I've never had a tattoo and I need more time to convince myself. :P

Yeah, I know. That's how addictions get started. My 300 TFs can vouch for that...

Wow!  THAT is awsome!! Did he have a picture he copied that from or did he do it freehand?

Starscream there looks really like a quite proper robot, but still oozes that Starscreamyness that we all know and love. :APPLAUSE:

He made a stencil from his orignal sketch. This one is a Half Pint original. :)

That's some very tidy work... The eyes and the face make it, I've just started my Transformers sleeve, we started off with the logo, and now we're going to do soundwave and laser beak:)
