Transformers Monopoly Board Game
Posted: Mon May 14, 2007 5:43 pmI just received my Transformers Monopoly Board Game and it is way cool!!! 
The board is based on G1 characters and all the graphics are great! The properties are renamed for different places from G1 series.
Places such as for Boardwalk = Cybertron, Vector Sigma, Teletran-1, The Ark, The Nemesis, Autobot City, Dinobot Island, Space Bridge, Unicron, Sherman Dam, Earth, Iacon, Nebulon, Junk Planet, Quintessa, Chamber of Ancients, Well of All Spark, Smelting Pools, Decepticon Command Bunker, Kaon, Combat Arena, Shockwave's Tower,Autobase, Decagon, Transwarp DriveMaccadams Old Oil House.
Each Denomination of money is a different character: Ones=Bumblebee, Fives=Soundwave, Tens=Ultra Magnus, Twenties=Starscream, Hundreds=Megatron, Five Hundred=Optimus Prime.
The dices are two different colors: Purple and Red. The Houses (called Energon Cubes) are purple, and the Hotels (called Anti-matter) are Red.
The Ark, Space Bridge, The Nemesis, and Trapswarp Drive all replace the traditional Railrodas spaces; Teletran-1 replaces Electric Company, Vector Sigma replaces Water Works. Decepticon and Autobot cards replaces Chance and Community Chest cards, You use a Card Decoder to decoded the cards, which have all the G1 characters on them!
The only really downside is the pawns are small pewter versions of: Megatron, Optimus Prime, StarScream, Bumblebee, Soundwave, and Jazz. They are not big enough or very well detailed, but you can make out who they are!
There is also a cool feature or twist with the Transformers version: If you roll a double, there are either privileges or penalties. For example, if you double twos, you use spark to create a new transformer--You get to collect $200 dollars! If you roll double five, you have to paid $50 to each of the other players If you roll double six, you get to challegne another player's property that you want. Each player take a dice and have a roll-off, the highest dice number get to take control of the property!
Last thing...I am going to use the PVC figures as my pawns, they are just the right size! I highly recommednd this boardgame to all Transformer collectors, it is DEFINITELY worth every penny! I got mine from B.B.T.S. Hope this review helps!
