Jackson Comic-Con

For those like me, living down South, you've probably noticed we don't get too many big Comic conventions in our neck of the woods. Well, we're hoping to change that soon. Presenting the Jackson Comic-Con, July 18-19, in Jackson, Mississippi!

Attractions will include:
Guest of Honor, Larry Kenney, voice of Lion-O from Thundercats.
An Artists' Alley, featuring some excellent talent.
Dealer Booths/Tables for all your plastic crack needs! (TransFormers, Star Wars, Star Trek, GI Joe, and more!)

This is by no means anywhere near the size of San Diego Comic-Con, nor dedicated solely to TransFormers or any other single franchise, but with a little help from anyone in the region willing to show up for a day or two, we can have a blast and provide the support necessary to grow this convention and attract more guests in the future.

I personally would like to see a large turnout of TransFormers fans to really take this con by storm. If you or anybody you know might be interested in attending, you can check out the Jackson Comic-Con site at http://jay.heroesanddreams.com/index.php?id=1094.

If you're traveling from a distance, feel free to contact me directly via Seibertron.Com as I live an hour away from the convention and would be more than happy to help with directions, hotels, transportation, etc.

my sentiments exactly, I used to work out at Laurel at the Masonite plant for a private security company. I also worked with a fellow by the name of John Henry(I kid you not) that was from there. We were prison guards in Meridian. Hope we bump into each other.

Southern Style, huh? Does that mean it's like the other Cons 'cept with a cool accent and Fangirls that are the hottest thing this side of the Sun? :P

Just messing with ya. I'd love to head down that direction. I've always wanted to visit the South and doing so for a Convention would just be icing on the cake. Unfortunately, funds didn't even allow for me to attend the con in my own neck of the woods. I have a second chance in the form of CybCon up here in the Pacific NW. You guys have fun for me and pick up all kinds of cool stuff then rub our noses in it by posting pics.

You're most welcome, and thanks for the update. :)
Someone PMed me yesterday asking about a hotel, so I'm sure they'll be especially glad to see your post.

I've been pleasantly surprised by the number of responses this news has gotten, both here and the PMs I've received from interested parties. I've decided to try to organize a small get-together/Meet-up for any Seibertronians who attend. Anyone interested in receiving news of this Meet-Up when the convention gets closer, drop me a PM and I'll add you to my Friends List so I won't forget you when the time comes.

(Those who have already PMed me, I saved your names already)
