During the clone wars Anakin Skywalker and Obiwan Kenobi accidently goes through an interdimensional warpgate and appear in a heated battle between the Classic Autobots and the Decepticons. The discusion is this Clasic Megatron soon discovers that Anakin and Obiwan have unusual powers and abilities and with Anakin treading so close to the darkside of the force do you think Megatron would be able to persuade Anakin to join with the Decepticons.

I don't know, but that's a pretty cool picture.

Anyway, I don't think Megatron could get Anakin on his side. Anakin wasn't really about universal domination, Palpatine turned him through the promise of a power that I don't think any Cybertronian technology could replicate. Plus, Anakin was kind of a misguided Republic supporter, misguided becuase he ends up facilitating galactic wrong by trying to do what he felt was right, albeit selfishly. I don't think he'd find Megatrons' megalomania too appealing.

Unless Palpatine found out about the Decepticons and tried to convince Anakin that they were 'good' somehow. I would think that even if this happens, Anakin may still not join them, but he wouldn't be opposing them or trying to stop them somehow.
Even if Megatron couldn't entice Anakin, I think if Megatron found out about the Force, he would not hesitate one moment in trying to figure out whether or not he could get that power for himself. He would want to wield that power himself, no doubt about it. And as soon as he found out about how to do it, Starscream or someone else will take that knowledge and use it to oust Megatron from leadership. The Decepticons are very Sith-like in many ways.

I agree on all points. I just don't think that Anakin was ever bent on conquest like Megatron. Even as Darth Vader Anakin was always kind of doing his job, which was--thanks to Ep. 3--to be the fist of the Emperor. Vader wasn't exactly bad persay, he was misguided. Even Palpatine was striving for a brand of peace, but he definately was a 'peace through tyranny' kind of guy.
Megatron would certainly try to harness the Force for nefarious means, and most certainly only as a means to power and not for the spiritual reasons the Force exists. Unfortunately for him, he'd have to turn over the data gathering process to Shockwave who would most likely be stymied by the interest in such an illogical idea. Like Han was in A New Hope.
I don't think Anakin could be pursuaded, but I think Palpatine could be, if for no other reasons that to add even more might to the Imperial war machine. And basically, if Palpatine thought it was a good idea, so would Anakin/Vader. Eventually though, I think Anakin/Vader would figure out the conquest in the Decepticon agenda and oppose it.

If Palpatine and Megatron joined forces, I know it would end up only being for a time. Each will eventually get the itch to doublecross the other, and the results wiould definately be spectacular, and also not pretty. There is one way I thought of, how Megatron could wind up using the power of the Force: The Star Forge. The Star Forge is in all essence a living, Force-sensitive space station/ ship factory. I don't know if it is truely sentiant or not, but in the KotOR game it is described as 'pulsing with Darkside energies' and Darth Malak describes it as being 'alive.' I know almost everybody would say that it was destroyed, but if even a small section remained, it would probably begin to regenerate. So if Megatron found out about the Star Forge, he would probably try to find out how it is able to channel the Force, or something like that.

Thankyou for your compliment. As far as I am concerned my Transformers are for Transforming and setting up in various displays. So every so often I love to change my transformers around and set up different battle scenes and in various modes. Otherwise just setting up one display and leaving them alone is a waste of transformers potential and besides they wouldn't be any fun to own.

Personally, I would have preferred to follow the "Star Wars TF" toyline.
You in the back...I can hear you rolling up your eyes. Stop it.
It'll basically follow the flow of the Star Wars se...six...both trilogies, only with a TF influence. Like, say, whoever was providing spaceship technology to the Trade Federation suddenly introducing transforming battle craft, courtesy of a side deal with a race from outside the galaxy, called the "Quintessons".
The Republic acquiring the same technology, and arming the Jedis with it. And the Clone Troopers of course. (Hey, they already got the toys!)
Never got around to deciding which TF's to use, although a space-faring version of Optimus Prime (kinda like the Protoform Prime in the new movie) does figure into this idea of mine.
Subplot involving parallels (somewhat forced, in this case) between the natures of the Matrix and the Force.
And of course, a big slobberknockin' showdown between a binary-bound Skywalker Prime and the Unicron/Death Star.
Last part was terribly obvious, I know, but to be expected. I mean, a second Death Star built so quickly? It had to have come from somewhere...
'Course, I'll never have the time to actually write the damn thing...

Hexagony?

Just call it a double trilogy. And man, if there was a good way to integrate Transformers into Star Wars without it seeming stupid, contrived or just plain strange, I'd go for it!

I think it's "hexalogy".

What would make it feel contrived? Just out of curiousity :-?
