I saw a real Camaro today...

It's not normal to see a brand new car like this in my area so my guess is they were from out of town but I saw a yellow Camaro today while I was at work. Funny thing is later when the family came back to the car I found out their daughter's name was Mikayla. Funny that this was all by pure coincidence as she was about 5 years old and therefore too old to have been named after Megan Fox's character and the car had a sun roof and no black stripes.

Aside from the aformentioned differences I started compairing the real one to the toys I have and there's a couple small details missing from the back of the toys which actully seems weird considering all the other small details that I failed to even notice untill compairing them to the real thing. Allso his gas cap is on the wrong side of the car. These differences may be do to the fact that Bumblebee was based on a concept design and not the design that went into production.

Allso I should note that the toys I'm compairing the actual car to are Human Alliance and Legacy of Bumblebee. (Legacy being The one that came with Classics and Animated.) Another thing that's bugging me about the differences between the 3 and the main reason I'm posting this, Legacy Bumblebee despite being a smaller toy is actully more accurate to the real car than Human Alliance Bumblebee. Human Alliance Bumblebee has a different front grill and turn signal lights. I've run a search on Camaros and I can't even find a Camaro that looks like Human Alliance Bumblebee. They all look like Legacy Bumblebee.

Now granted Legacy Bumblebee is based off a mold that came out in the first movie toy line and Human Alliance came out with the second movie toy line so my question is... Did Bumblebee get a newer Camaro design for ROTF and no one said anything about it? As far as I know Bumblebee only has 2 different Camaro forms and the front of the old Camaro which I belive was a '77 had a compleatly different hood shape with sharper edges than the current design. From looking at the toys it appears that Bumblebee has THREE different Camaro forms or the Human Alliance version does not even exsist as a real car.

- = edit = -

I did some more searching after posting this. I was just searching Camaros before but desided to actully cross refrence with Bumblebee and got much better results. The first time we see him in the 2007 movie he's somewhere between 1975 and 1977 Camaro for some reason the search information couldn't even figure out the exact year of that car. Allthough they can't make up their minds about the car he scaned later in the movie either and the years that came up raged from 2007 to 2010. Sence he was a concept Camaro in 2007 and I just saw that Camaro today I can narrow that down to either 2008 or 2009. But while looking at the 2010 search results I found Bumblebee with the same grill and lights as the Human Alliance version so I'm guessing he did have a different vehicle mode in ROTF and for some reason there is never any mention of it.

I live near a car plant that produces them so I see them alot. Ive seen yellow with black stripes (bumblebee) and even red with silver stripes (Cliffjumper).

p.s. two days ago I saw a red van that looked EXACTLY like G1 Ironhide! B-)

Well today is my birthday and I got a really great suprise. My brother's birthday is Monday but my dad is working so we allso went and spent the day with him. Had lunch at Burger King and on the way out I noticed a yellow Camero in the parking lot.

Jokeingly I called out "Look it's Bumblebee." to my family. After walking outside, on closer inspection of the car I discovered that it ACTULLY WAS BUMBLEBEE. The car had Autobot Emblems right abouve the Camero logo and on the Hub Caps. In the black stripes was the word "Transformers" which was allso in black but wasn't shiney like the rest of the car so you could only see it under sertain lighting conditions. There was even a bumblebee air freshiner hanging from the rear view mirror just like the one in the movie. The only thing missing was the Autobot logo on the stearing wheel.

Of course this was in frount of Burger King and the owner could see us takeing pictures with their car threw the window. Eventually they came out after scareing the crap out of my mom and were actully really cool about the whole thing. We stood there talking about Transformers for about 10 min. before we finally drove off and went our seperate ways.

The way they scared the crap out of my mom... you're probly familiar with the devices that can lock, unlock, or set an alarm on your car without actully being near the car. This thing had a device simular to that with an added feature... You can start the car with a press of a button on your key chain. So we're standing there takeing pictures of it, no one is in the car, and the motor suddenly starts. Then I start jokeing that it's a real Transformer and is going to transform into a robot.

Yeah, this was a fun birthday.

Allso I found Shockwave who up till today I've only seen once and they were all gone the next day. Just found the 1 at K-Mart and decided to get it this time before they sold out again because it's been about 4 or 5 months sence I saw them the first time. Thankfully the actual toy is more accurate than the picture shown on his box. If you see him and notice the picture is showing the wrong face for both Longarm and Shockwave don't worry about it, the toy is actully accurate to the cartoon. That picture doesn't do it justice. (honestly the picture on the box is why I passed it up the first time but figured it must be good if it sold that quickly.)

Chevy put out an actual Transformers Bumblebee Edition Camaro last year, so that's what you saw. I've been thinking about going by a Chevy dealer and try to see if I can buy just the Autobot badges. I see all kinds of Camaros where I live, but I haven't seen a Bumblebee edition one yet.

This is from when it first showed up. It spent the last three weeks under a cover due to the snow...

I'd love to have a life sized Sideswipe complete with Autobot emblems. I just like the look of that car and I think my youngest nephew does too. I had a few of my transformers over at my brothers around Christmas time and the 2 year old only wanted to play with my delux and Human Aliance Sideswipes. He kinda ripped HA doors off though but I got them back on... and won't him touch that one anymore. :P

I've seen a remote controlled version of the vehicle mode, not a Transformers toy just happens to be the same car as Sideswipe, I'm thinking about getting it.

BTW, When I mentioned Shockwave ealier... I want to post a review but can't seem to find the review topic anymore. It was a sticky top at the top of the toy fourms but doesn't seem to be there anymore.

Y'know, Hot Wheels also made a Corvette Stingray Concept car. That's what Sideswipe was.
