Decepticons all the way. But if Soundwave & his crew had a faction of their own (Including Soundwave, so this doesn't mean JUST the Cassetticons) I'd vote for them.

Let's face it. Things shape up this way.

Here's what each side has going for them.

Autobots: a noble cause.
Decepticons: looking cool and blowing stuff up.

Is it any wonder that I say Decepticons have more fun?

I also like the military strategists Combaticons

or maybe a Quintesson, something about sitting on my and sentencing people to death sounds rather liberating

Decepticons. They are freedom fighters, not the war crazed lunatics G1 portrayed them as.

Subgrouping wise, I have to go with either the Combaticons or Stunticons.
