So I was at Sakura-con (Seattle anime convention) Didnt see any actual transformer cosplay but on Saturday I wore my Autobot shirt. I had a girl point and me and make threatening gestures and yell from about a hundred feet away. She was whereing a Decepticon shirt. We had a good time. Just thought that was worth sharing.

Airport a few years ago I was checking in at London Stansted Airport and had my rucksack inspected. Well The guy checking it pulled out my BM Nightscream, he looked at it and asked
"What's that?"
"A Transformer" was my reply.
"Oh, cool!"
He then found my reissue Jazz box
"Oh Jazz! I had him and Megatron! That's how old I am."
Usually it's annoying having your stuff checked at the airport but that was pretty awesome.

2 Years ago, checking out of Stansted Airport, I was wearing my TF T-Shirt, someone came up to me and said
"Sweet T-Shirt mate!"

Last year during school I was giving a presentation about .com businesses and one of the ecamples I gave for failed businesses was TFAuctions.
At the end of the presentation my teacher asked me a few questions about the presentation you know for grading and marking he then commented
"Good that I never heard of TFAuctions, or I would have spent my entire day getting ripped off!"
Later we had an awesome talk about TF toys, comics, cartoons and everything it was brilliant.
Best teacher ever!

Only thing remotely happening was when I was at work at the pharmacy. Some customer comes up to get his things. He was wearing the old decepticon logo instead of the roft one. Didn't even notice until I said "thanks, have a nice day" then I was like "loving the shirt!!"

There were lots of trans-fans walking around judging by the number of t-shirts and hats circulating, but yhea no cosplays this year and a lot of nothing in the dealers hall.

I was at Tora-con (Rochester NY Anime convention) a couple weeks ago and one of the things they were doing there was name that anime (or whatever it was called). A G1 screenshot popped up on the screen and almost the entire room raised their hands to answer. The person in front of me screamed "MEGATRON!!!" and I yelled "Optimus Prime!" back. this went on for about a minute until I threw my badge at her. And it was my first con too, so it was the best day ever...

this next one's not so random.

Our english teacher also gave us a vocab test earlier this year and one of the questions was "Name something that transmutes". the teacher left the room and we all talked about which transformer we put down as the answer. 4 had Optimus Prime, two had Megatron, I put down starscream and the rest put down Bumblebee. She came back in 30 seconds after we stopped talking.

couple of weeks ago, I'm wearing my Con shirt, havin a smoke. Someone with autobot decals on their car drove by and parked. We then then spent 5 minutes having a nerd battle in the parking lot, insulting faction leaders and robot military strategy. :P

yes, i am that much of a dork, i don't even need to be at a convention to yell and scream about transformers

When i went to the GI Joe con here last weekend in RI, there was a guy asking where you heard about the convention and how many people were with you. I said "seibertron.com" and i started spelling it out for him to write down. He interrupted me halfway thru and was said, "Yeah dude, you don't haft spell it. I know what it is and i've been there. I'm a TF fan too!"

Back in 1998 when i was a kid, i was piss drunk and a (sober) buddy of mine was driving my truck. We stopped at a Taco Bell drive thru and he said, "Dude, theres 3 chicks in that car behind us, go talk to them!" So i fell outta the truck, got on to my knees and staggered over to the girls in this car behind us. I said, "Hey you guys wanna come party with us?" and the passenger said, "No we're fine. Thanks." and the driver noticed i was wearing an autobot shirt. She asked me "Where are you guys going and what are you going to do?" I replied back, "my buddy's apartment and watch Transformer cartoons!" She says back "You mean like Starscream?" and i replied "Starscream? F--- Starscream! Hes a b----! Skywarp is cooler!!!" So we bickered back and forth on who the coolest TFer was until the cars had to move forward. They ended up coming back to the apartment and watched the 80s movie. At that point, i was too obliterated by the alcohol to make any more passes, so i just passed out on the couch and i have no idea what happened after that.

I almost got beaten up by a drunk for having an Autobot symbol T-shirt. Not because of the general nerdiness, but because "THA'S THAT NEW MICHAEL BAY SH*T INNIT?!? HE F*CKIN' RUINED IT!!"

Not quite fan per say, but full of fandom and definitely random, also the complete truth.

A number of years back, while I was working in Downtown Vancouver, Nintendo was gearing up for a big push to sell their new hot game, which included dressing up a vehicle for promotional events.

As the Nintendo Canada office is in the Vancouver area, (Richmond to be accurate) somebody that I can only guess was an employee was using said car, and at about 9:30pm, made an abrupt turn onto a one-way street while I was crossing and narrowly missed clipping me.

The vehicle in question was the Volkswagen Bug for Pokemon Red and Blue equipped to hand out Mew.

I was almost killed by a fraking Pikachu.

I have at least one "random fan encounter" a week at my job.

I will usually be outside, having a smoke, and someone will see the Decepticon insignias tattooed on my arms and strike up a conversation with me over them.....Some are pro-Decepticon, while others are jokingly anti-Decepticon...and all entertain me.

One of the most recently entertaining came from the guy getting out of the Porsche Cayenne, dressed in the $2500 suit with $1200 shoes...he smiles at me and whispers "Megatron rules!" as he walks by. :CON:

this just happened to me ten minutes ago. I was at a picnic at my high school for both alumnae and current students (I'm a current student) and I was talking with my english teacher and I saw a guy in a hoodie pushing a stroller. Since i wasn't wearing my glasses, i couldn't see the hoodie well. He got a little closer and I could see the autobot insignia more clearly. I wanted to say something to him about it so bad, but when I was done talking, he was gone. I could find him, so I went home.

ok, so it's more like half an hour ago, but when I started typing it had only been ten minutes.
