Legality question on Barricade logo

I'm rather curious if this logo would be legal in California? If it makes any difference (and I doubt it would), it would be on a solid white '99 Silverado truck, on the back fenders (behind the wheels, before the brake lights), not on the doors.

I can understand "probably better to avoid the hassle", "probably not a good idea", and "why would you want to have one of those on your vehicle", but that's not what I'm trying to ask :P

Oh, and hi.

Welcome to Seibertron.com
caution site may contain nuts.

As a rule, while the basis of the logo should be fine, there are after all tons of car decals. (Both legal and KO's out there.)

But you could have an issue displaying "Police", and really that would more be a issue with your local law enforcement than anything else.

..and bolts. lol

Honestly, i would call your local police station and ask politely. Just say that there is a Transformers movie logo that you want to put on your tuck that depicts the word police witha Decepticon symbol. They should be able to give you a yay or nay. Btw, call their office number, not 911. They might get mad if you call 911 with non-emergency questions. lol

If they fail to give you an answer and you have a lawyer buddy or even like, a free state funded legal aid line where you can ask that kinda stuff. I googled California free legal aid and this site has a listing of a bunch of them: http://www.usattorneylegalservices.com/ ... ornia.html

For example in Ohio, you will NOT display the word POLICE in any fashion. Its against the law, hence this Ohio Prowl vehicle...

Here in PA you're not supposed to have the word police on your vehicle. I think the decal would be ok with just the police shield minus the word.
