Having seen Praxus Prime's Favourite G1 Character thread (an oldie but a goodie), I thought why not create a thread about your least favourite G1 Transformers? Surely there are those who you just can't stand, for whatever reason it may be.

Personally, I'm not really fond of some of the big guns. Characters like Soundwave (although I really do like Soundwave's, if I may call them, lil' rascals--Frenzy, Ravage and Rumble, especially), Grimlock and Ironhide.

So here it is, my fellow fans! Your thread to tell the rest of us who you don't actually like. I'm really interested to hear, so to speak, what you guys have to say, as I'm sure there'll be a few...entertaining responses.

Oh, and by the way, I think Wheelie's a given, so there's no real need to mention the wretched little rhymer.

I never had a problem with wheelie or Blurr.

Alpha Trion: Horrible cliche and robots with beards look stupid

Ratbat: Disgusted that he was Decepticon leader in the Marvel comics. Thankfully, Scorponok took care of that/

The knowall scientists: Wheeljack, Jetfire and Perceptor

Combiners: Annoyingly small toys. I have the oversized KO Bruticus. What all G1 combiners should have been. Unfortunately my least fave G1 combiner team.

Bumblebee: annoying little sidekick

Kup: so overrated!!!

Chromedome: horrible looking

Blitzwing: hate the sadistic thug types

Insecticons: at least Shrapnel had that cool voice

Optimus Prime: whiner!

Furman Prowl: took my fave G1 Autobot. Ignored his cool, logical tech spec and made him a whiner. I like his Dreamwave, Budiansky and Nick Roche incarnations, thankfully.

Stormbringer Thunderwing: insult to the great Marvel Matrix Master and Lord High Decepticon Commander

Straxus: For trying to kill Megatron

IDW Ramjet: 2nd rate Starscream. Dreamwave got his G1 personality perfectly in one pic.

IDW Sunstreaker: Whiner!!! Dreamwave and the Universe comics had him perfect.

I don't mind Wheelie, but I can't stand Grimlock. He's like the Boba Fett of Transformers. Sure he's cool, but being a metal Tyrannasaurus and speaking like a caveman can only take him so far. Not only that, they made him into a complete imbecile in later seasons just for the comedy relief.

G1 Cerebros from the Rebirth Parts 1-3 was a pain to listen to. "I don't wanna fight. Leave me alone. Or better yet, just kill me!" :sad:

Gimme a break! I am SO glad the Japanese ditched this guy's personality when making Fortress in The Headmasters.

I agree with throwing in Sunstreaker. I like Sideswipe, though, and Astrotrain is tolerable.

without streaker around, swipe could be tolerable.
I agree with throwing in Sunstreaker. I like Sideswipe, though, and Astrotrain is tolerable.

I don't like the concept of HeadMasters...I mean "I turn into his head FOO!" what a lame alt-mode....not sure if that counts though.
I actually don't mind Wheelie, just like the twins, I don't get why everyone hates him...
Only guys I don't like are uh...Hot Rod, and only because he stole Optimus' spot...

The Witwickies were a bit lame.....

That's why I prefer the Japanese version where instead of it being a big bot whose head becomes another little bot, its one little bot who become the head of larger lifeless body.

Now that I think about it, that sounds even lamer the way I just said it. :oops:

Let me put it this way. The small bot is the main bot, the body is something like a Super Mode upgrade that acts as both an assault vehicle/animal and a giant body.

I really don't like Sunstreaker. What a dill. Also, I would have to throw Beachcomber in there. My least favorite is probably Hot Rod. I have never like him-the character, the toy......everything.

2. Perceptor -- I have taken notice people blame Hot Road but I blame Perceptor for Prime's dying. Been around his boss 18+ years and don't know how to fix him!

6. Voices of all constructicons. It's why I wish Devastator would have stayed together.

Yeah, but in the non-Japanese version...what's the advantage of having a TransFormable Head anyways?
I liked Blurr and to a degree, Wheelie, one thing I don't get:Why does everyone hate Daniel? I haven't seen much of him so I have no idea how he is.

I dislike most of the human characters though....Chip Chase was cool but Spike was kinda lame.
I also found it funny how SparkPlug(the dad right?) Said "This is for Cybertron and for Earth!"

Whats with the Blur hate? Blur is one of the few (only?) redeeming factors of the autobots. Voiced by the effin micro machine man.

Toywise i'd have to go with the F1 Dasher of the Powerdashers.

I had the Takara equivalent of F1 Dasher as a kid. These Dashers were pretty common where I live back then. Anyway, this guy does a really terrible job of being in disguise. His face is fully exposed on the car hood and he just has his legs up in the air. The whole thing is pretty stupid even for 'cybertronian-mode' standards.

His articulation is pretty useless too as his arms can only go side to side.

No wonder they made this a mail away figure in the US, no one would really buy one on retail because of the sheer daftness.

I really can not deal with Powerglide. His voice is super-annoying, he always seems super-sumg and I can't for the life of me figure out why as I've never thought he did anything impressive enought to earn a bit of conceit.

How the heck can someone who seems like such a jerk and has such an un-attractive non-face be so popular with the ladies? (Moonracer, Astoria)

In no particular order:

Powerglide. Seriously, can't stand the guy. Arrogance/confidence is all very well and good, but I think he's a putz.

Seaspray because of the voice.

I also can't stand these two because of their "romances" with whiny organic bi-peds.

Warpath. The whole torretts thing is really nerve grating.

Beachcomber. Self explanatory.

Starscream. He's a whiny pain in the aft and I wish Megatron would just slice his face off and be done with it. I really have NFC as to why the "fan girls" like him so, though I lean towards the argument that they're under age.

The female Autobots. While Beta had her moments, she was still a "oooh when some fella does something we will be free *swoon*". Damn, its like watching Muppet babies or something when Arcee gets all "motherly" towards Daniel. Chromia is probably the only femme that I can tolerate, and only when the TV's on mute.

Blaster was cool, until he started rhyming.

And of course, Wheelie. (And yeah, Japanese Wheelie is much worse).

I think I can, um, see this as well...and I'm a guy. So it's not just a fangirl thing, apparently. :oops:

I'm pretty sure Nightraid and/or Zombie Starscream, back around a year ago, have already suggested how similar the Seekers' designs are to that of a male's physique--and even the structure of their faces. Well, I can see the similarities, and I think the three Seekers, 'Warp, 'Cracker and Screamer, due to their resemblance to the human body, are good looking for robots. I can just imagine them as humans, too. What handsome devils they'd be!

Then again, I just love Screamer, so...

What I don't understand, though, is why Skywarp doesn't get as much female love... C'mon, ladies! Tall, dark and handsome! How could you not find the black and purple colour scheme to be postively divine?
