I just got emailed and they wanted to let the fans/members know that registration will not be up till next week. Monday at the earliest! Plus they willonly put the attending packages up first so people who have to get classes/tours and whanot based on their travel plans have priority. Non attendee toy packages will go online a week later when things are quieter I guess. That is all they said or more aptly this is what they said:

Oh, before I forget. I have a reservation at both hotels for a couple of nighs that I need to cancel, so there will be at least two rooms opening up for several days each. I could time my cancelation with anyone who needs a room or two? Just let me know and take care.

BOTCON's original email message:

Here are a couple of updates:

1. We are working very hard on the registration system. As you can see from the test site we are very close, however, we found some bugs thanks to your testing, that must be corrected before we go live.

This is not a promise, but we are shooting for the first of next week.

I didn't want you worrying about it all weekend.

Here is how it is going to work. Because of the proximity of the registration timeline to the show, to ensure that everyone who has travel plans can get the package of their choice, we will only put up the attending packages (including classes and tours) when the system goes live. Approximately a week later, we will put up the non-attending package. The printed form will not go online until the non-attending package goes online.

In the meantime, please read all of the FAQs and the brochure (information tab) at BotCon.com before you try to register.

2. Due to the overwhelming number of containers trying to get to the US from China, Dion has been bumped off of two ships already. The figures will get on a ship next week which means they will arrive in about 5 weeks and we plan to ship them to you before BotCon. We have been told there are thousands of containers waiting for ships with availability to be transported to the US. The ships were taken out of service during the economic downturn and they have have not all been reactivated. Have you noticed that there are not many new things in the stores lately? This is why.

3. The Swan and Dolphin hotels are now sold out and we are working on a 3rd property. We will let you know when that is arranged.

Thanks to all of you who helped test the registration system and thanks for your patience and understanding.

Brian
