Okay, Hasbro just finished releasing all five nominees for the fifth slot in their inaugural class for their new Hall of Fame. Go here for the list. All five deserve it, too. As well as the four inductees they chose.

But... there's some characters that probably will never make the grade. Who are they, and why?

Wheelie

Not even his creator can stand the way he speaks, His is a toy that nobody seeks.

Wheelie will never make it to the hall of fame, his whole personality is just too lame.

Wheelie, just to beat everyone to it.


Honestly, and I'll probably get some flak for this, but a lot of the fan favorite characters who more or less had one or two appearances shouldn't be considered. I'm thining immediately of G1 Sandstorm and his handful of cartoon appearances, or "Acid Rain" and the Rainmakers from Season 1.
Working from this rationale, most of the Bay movie characters would be eliminated as well, since except for PRime and BB and Megatron kind of, none of them are really prominent. No, not slagging ROTF, stating the truth. Sideswipe does look awesome, but "Damn I'm good" does not make one hall of fame material.

I think mainly though, I'm in favor of one or two shot dudes not making it.

Bumblebee. I can think of tens of autobots that deserve to be there before him. Even "I'm not as good as Optimus" Rodimus Prime is more worthy to be there than him.

I agree with all of the above mentioned for obvious reasons.

Wheelie is the blasphemy of G1...always has been, and always will be.

Bumblebee is another atrocity that should be lost and forgotten. I hated him in G1 and every incarnation ever since. His personality has always grated me.


My personal choice for The Super-Loser Awards would have to be....Rodimus Prime. I just LOATHE that Matrix-stealing Prime-killer!

Yeah... except Bumblebee's part of the class of 2010 already.

ouch. thats harsh. but they are both tied for my least favorite G1 characters. Ultra magnus a close 3rd.

the cons had so much more interesting characters IMHO, not just a bunch of generic good guys

Wheelie is **** and Rodimus is ass! Most of everyone from G1 Season 3 is horrible. Except for Springer, Arcee, and Cyclonus, they never really did anything wrong. Scourge is OK, he never did anything bad or good for me. But the ones I hate the most are Wheelie and Rodimus. I liked ROTF Wheelie to an extent, more than the G1 anyway. And Rodimus...damn. He is te real person to blame for Optimus's death, If I was Optimus, when I came back to life, I would hake kicked his ass and used him as a shield against Galvatron! Another Autobot that never did anything in G1...Bumblebee. Ill admit, I do like Bumblebee in Animated and in the movies, but G1 Bumblebee is just there, he never did ANYTHING. But he was one of the only Autobots to make it through the series without being killed off. He made it through the G1 movie, and that in itself is somthing to brag about. Then the movies come out and everyone idolizes him. Another TF from G1 that I hate is Blurr. Blurr is cool in Armada and Animated, but in G1 hes annoying as f*k. He repeats every word at least twice and talks way too fast. I can understand him, but it gets annoying. Well, thats my rant.

Huffer! God I hate him! Whiny little you know what. I remember in the episode "Dark awakening" Daniel sees his crypt. I wish the 1986 movie showed Huffer getting blown away instead of Brawn. Even though it was probably an error, and the episode meant to say it was Brawns crypt, It pleased me to know Huffer was gone. And I'm glad I'm not the only one who hates Ultra Magnus. As far as Rodimus goes...I've always been pretty neutral when it came to him. To me, his biggest drawback was simply not being Optimus. Rod was a better leader then Magnus anyway!

Gears for being so ugly
Wheelie for being so pointless
Rodimus for making a show less likeable
Huffer for being an asshole

I'm not attacking anyone but I'm sick of everyone moaning about Season 3 and Rodimus Prime. Season 3 was infinitely preferable to Season 2 and crap like the Golden Lagoon, Kremzeek or the Lord Chumley episode. Though I will admit, S3 ruined Galvatron.

S2 also gave us the hated Alpha Trion. Bearded robots not named Scourge or Unicron look slaggin' ridiculous. He was also a very bad stereotype.

I'll always be a comics man myself but apart from MTMTE and a handful of episodes, I find most of the G1 cartoon to be crap. The Japanese G1 cartoons are much better if you could change the Godawful dub and so out of place music.

I didn't go too far off topic as I mentioned the HATED Alpha Trion.

I always hated G1 Bumblebee and Optimus Prime too until Bay actually made them cool.

Rattrap, Quickstrike, any non-G1 Ironhide and Cybertron Jetfire? The link? Very grating voices!!!

Bruticus, Superion and Devestator - tired of the constant homages. Menasor, Defensor and Computron were far superior!

Wheeljack, Jetfire and Perceptor. Pain in the aft, know-all scientists!

I'm not out to offend by the way, just expressing my opinions. Unfortunately it's usually contrary to the popular ones. I actually like G1 Blurr and Wheelie.

Anyone who has never had a mass-market toy should not be eligible. So if the character's toys are only available as convention exclusives, I wouldn't consider him or her.

Also, G1 Ultra Magnus for pep talking Rodimus and being a pansy. He had so much potential and he just sucked. If ever there would have been a second coming of an OP-type leader, Ultra Magnus was that leader, but he just failed, failed, failed...

The one and only "character" I find truly deserving of automatic blacklisting from the HOF.

One thing I always wondered, in G1, in the first episode, Spike only drives HOUND, so why in the movies does Sam have BumbleBee?

Anyhow, there's not many characters I hate, but I think we can all agree that any original character from Kiss Players should be banned from even existing...curse you TFwiki for having a link to it on every 3rd page...I wish my mind had been spared the horror....

Althouth B.O.T. was rather stupid as well...
